Best game of the season - tops the Adelaide one
And yeah, gotta laugh at those 4-5-1 calls before the game now. Easy in hindsight.valeo2011-01-05 21:26:47

We have absolutely dominated the Victory tonight, best I have seen in a while.
Only dissapointment is the Kevin Muscat wasnt there to be run around by Marcos

I wouldve loved to see Muscat flinging his arms up in the air with a 'f**k this' and 'f**k that' everytime Marco beats him

Absolutely amazing performance by the whole team today (even Lia and Big Mac!!). If Ifill was playing we probably would have broken a few records.
I'd be so gutted if Rojas didn't stay for one more season - he really should - to get more 1st team time and to repay the Yellow Fever for the faith put into him.
If he goes to another a-league team I will personally fly to Wellington, park outside Ricky's house and yell obscenities at him until he gets Rojas back.
But yeah, very flattering score for the Victory

Should stay for more than one more season - we've seen what happens to players who go to Europe too early. It'd be too early for him, no doubt. Better prospects have gone overseas and failed.

The first half was the most dominant half I've ever seen with no goals. Indeed the scoreline was flattering for Melbourne, they might as well have not turned up.
P.S. Must stick my hand up and say I was wrong. I called McAllistar a bit of a donkey but obviously he isn't.

Gotta be our best ever performance - hardly any dumb passes, loads of hustle and guts, heaps of created chances, safe at the back - brilliant

Just back from a very good turnout from Auckland Nix fans. :D
Thoughts from the game without reading the thread:
- LOL at the D-Mac haters, esp. since both goals were from great combinations between him and Marco. He may be a donkey but he's OUR donkey.
- Angulo has the haircut of a lesbian. All the baby dykes are wearing that "faux-hawk" at the She-She bar. Don't ask me how I know.
- My keeper sympathies go out to Petkovic. He played out of his damn skin for most of the game and is surely MoM for the Tards.
- But the curse of the Nix continues: even when we do virtually everything write at the back or in midfield, we can't finish a sandwich. It doesn't help that we have two genuine forwards, one of which can't run and the other can't do anything but run (and get offside).
We play like that from now on, we'll go far in the playoffs. We play like that and Ifill comes back, we could make the Grand Final.

Agree, great turn out (for all 7 of us) HOWEVER as I said at the pub, DMac is still a donkey 85 mins out of 90 hes lucky hes tall and currently scoring goals. Im not a hater, just not fully convinced by him...
