"Big striker Macallister was supposed to be the answer to the Phoenix's woes up front in tandem with Chris Greenacre but he too has fallen out of favour.

Herbert described his future at the club as "strong"."

D-Mac in at least on the bench this week, if not starting. My pick.

Yes, what we need is more North making a hash of things.
We haven't exactly been a fortress at the back since he was omitted.

Class player, let him play - keep siggy with his  huff and puff as cover

I hate it how Musa and Rojas aren't even considered in the squad. What happened to growing young talent?

When have we ever grown young talent?

Three for me, and two for them.

yeah lets put someone straight into the team the minute they come off a one year injury - or better yet replace an Australian international with someone who has played Wanganui College footy

I wasn't saying we should, i was replying to KiwiChick who seems to think we have done this in the past when we clearly haven't.

Three for me, and two for them.

I would like to see someone else come onto the wing and "move" Ifill into a "central" role so that he has a bit more freedom to move about without compacting the team all to one side or forcing Bertos to switch sides to suit.

Not hearfield, not Lia.
No faith in either of them.
Actually, Hearfield isn't too bad, but not good enough for starting lineup.
No way.

hmmm i wonder if this may be what we start with:

                   Paston
North Sigmund   Durante   Muscat
             Elliot        Brown
Bertos                                      Ifill
        Greenacre   MacCallister

Vukovich Hearfield Daniel Pavlovich

Thats just judging by what ricki has been saying: North at fullback, Big Mac being a strong chance.

Wonder if Ricki feels like Elliot will be more effective if greeny and Dylan are both up top?

But that still means that Ward or Lia miss out. Hmmmm

Nothing in it according to Centrebet;

Nix to win $2.65

Roar to win $2.60

Draw $3.30

I just hope we turn up and play - we're long overdue !!

If ahead:
We want Seven, We want Seven
Kosta whats the score, Kosta Kosta whats the score?

I'd love to see this:

       Pasty
Siggy North Dura Moosecat
        Elliot
    Lia       Ward
Bertos             Ifill
       Greenacre

Only concern(s)are that Greeny could get isolated up front and that Siggy could potentially be absolutely killed by Broich.. Ideas?tomrewi2010-11-02 20:51:13

And also remember that there is only 2 degrees of separation in NZ so he is pretty much a household name.

I agree, not long term, just for him to remember what he was doing last season that he's not doing this season.
