why are there so many viewers on the forum over the last week or so?

Every time i come on i see "70 viewing" or something and think there must be a big announcement or something... but there isn't...

I put it down to a lack of news so far and people hoping that there'll be some good news waiting for them here...that and its a brilliant source of banter and stoopid

I see Gold Coast discard Alex smith scored the winner for Sydney Olympic against the Bling last night - worth an air ticket him to come over for a look?

Hence my point earlier, however he was always referred to as a striker, turns out hes a midfielder............

could he be better than Sanchez? Who knows?

If we had signed someone like VanStrattan or similr instead of warner then perhaps we could have had this yank as well..

I forget, were you one of the people who said that Mehmet was a donkey and we shouldn't sign him, or was that someone else?

I think it was a mistake letting him go as soon as we thought we could get Rigters. Would have been the type of player we could have used. Sounds like he has hit some form already- but in the club's defence, if the trialist doesnt perform, then they may as well let him go.

Yeah however his track record looked the goods and his most recent club was what Fenerbahce?? if not them it was one of the top Turkish sides, a far higher level than the A League.

We got stars in our eyes when Rigters came along and we have missed the boat.........

Mehmet's last club was a Turkish 2nd Divsion side (Samsunspor) after getting cut from Genclerbirligi.

Maybe Mehmet is capable of scoring with the ball at his feet rather than being lumped up to him from midfield!

Alex Smith worth a trial in my opinion, after all he did actually have an A-League contract and was only dumped because of his "Import" status to accommodate Rigters not because he was deemed too rubbish to play at that level...

yeah, but classed as more of a midfielder than a striker. Whereas we are desperate for a lad capable of holding the ball up and latching onto our crosses

Greenacre and Pav would be capable of achieving this with the right distribution from midfield

Still waiting for Pav to show more than aimless running around and looking angry like some unemployed polish skinhead
