No real basis for this except hope and wild speculation but I have a feeling that the Killen transfer might have some legs.
For example we were checking out 3 Euro strikers and suddenly said we were not interested in them after all. Then the club hinted at someone coming in later...and then have gone quiet. We know the new owners are keen on a top marque.

In the mean time there has been nothing from China about Killen re-signing with his club or any other club there. It been said that he is a free agent on Nov 2nd.

So there is a possibility that the club will pick up Killen. They are going quiet on it now because of the egg ball cup. But after that is over would'nt it be great if we had a press release from the club about an imminent signing of a quality striker.

Again no facts about this.....just wild hope!!! Because we desperately need someone of Killens stature. We can't expect Greenacre to carry the load all season and Smith is an unknown who has been listed as an attacking mid.

This seems to be the logic everyone is using, i personally dont think he would be worth the marquee spot. Well he should b able to fit under the cap, and should want to play here and play for the team and his home city without the mega bucks. I have the same idea with Nelsen- if he came, should he really demand the marquee wages?
Also think Alsopp is likely as well, but guess it depends how Ricki goes tapping him up.
We could get both, and have a strike team of ex Man City players. - they all played there at the same time I believe. Maybe they could hook us up with that Tevez guy too
