Cheers. I tried that, but nothing. I also tried my ticketek account details. Oh well, I'll call the telephone number tomorrow.
Had same problem as you i guess despite registering my email details with the club 3 times know, appears i wasnt a member last year.Guess i must have imagined i took part in last season last season and spent all that money.Guess i will just have run the gauntlet of ticketec.

In my case, I think it has to be the change in my email details. I tried both the old and new and clicked "lost password" and for each it said the email account was not valid. I put in my season ticket number and it said that I would get an email with the password.... though to what email

So following these instructions:
"If you are an existing Wellington Phoenix FC and you have not registered a current email address
with Wellington Phoenix FC please call the member hotline (04 384 2457) to register your email
address and a password will be sent to you immediately."

I get a girl answering my call that has absolutely no idea about this.

so if you are a member and you want to resign up you have to wait for the forms that the phoenix only sent out over the weekend. then fill them out and you can only renew by sending them back by post with a cheque or credit card  W.T.F  so i have cash in hand and can't go down to the local ticketek to renew  my tickets ???

SOMETHING you failed to mention in your  nice new newsletter TONYP
i knew this couldn't be easy

I just rang and got a fella who didn't understand either at first but when I pushed it a bit he took my email address and promised to register it for me.

Will see if anything turns up I suppose.

I got a girl who reset my password for me and I am in and have renewed.

However, after all the talk about seat allocations, you don't seem to be able to take control over your seats. I called them back to ask and they said there is a form I have to fill in that was sent over the weekend.

So, you renew on line. The seating preference section of the website seems to offer "best available" - which judging by last year will mean KK or LL (please NO!) - or join a preference group. The site says "If you wish to create your own preference groups, go to the "My Preference Groups" tab above" but there is no tab.  And then you wait for a form to arrive and send that off.

Also,  I don't if it is just my laptop (which is about to be retired anyway), but I am sick of having to press enter 5 times or so everytime I navigate because a dialogue box confirming my password appears.

The girl didn't use my email address. She took my membership number and changed the password right there and told me what she'd changed it to. I then logged in and changed it myself. I saw my old email address in my contact details, so updated that too.

I called about 8:50, so got straight through. I suspect that since then they've been inundated and calls are going through to non-Phoenix trained operators.

So my first experience with Ticketek this year has been less than helpful.  Trying to renew two season tickets and purchase an extra one for a friend - do you think they could tell me if there is a spare seat either side of ours?  Apparently I have to fill in a form which was posted out to me (yet to receive it!) and return it to them via the post.  When I said I could rebook our seats online and request the extra seat I was told that wasn't possible.

This is f*cking rubbish. I want a seat in a good position in the fever zone, or I might as well sit on the half-way line with a better view. I have to commit to a silver membership when I don't even know if I'll be happy with the seats.

It seems that part of the site has not been developed yet. The "If you have any special preferences or wish to be seated with friends, please select Seating Preferences from the menu for additional options" section does not have any additional options that actually do anything. I have a bad feeling about where my seats will end up.

We could well end up with the same "free for all" in the zone as last year.

"Changing from last year's Membership Package
  • After logging in, click Renew Membership menu item
  • Tick the Do not renew box and click on Proceed to My Basket button
  • Confirm the cancellation
  • Click on the Memberships Packages menu item
  • Choose from one of the packages below and click the relevant Add to Order button
  • Your shopping basket will appear on the top right hand corner of this page.  Click on the Go to Step 2 button after you have added all the packages you want to purchase."
This does not work. The site throws up an error message after clicking to confirm the cancellation.

Is it just my computer?

I would advise not following those instructions - they didn't work properly for me either. Just go to Membership Packages and click "add to basket" on the appropriate selection. Then go through the payment mechanism.... and wait for a form to arrive to fill in and return - not exactly e-commerce is it?

Sounds like student loan confirmation frankly...

I remember sending a PM about wanting to be in that core block of supporters, could someone confirm that I'm on the list and I'm also assuming we have to wait until the 23rd (or whenever it is) to get the tickets?

Thanks SINZ, but I can't bring myself to pay $900 for 4 memberships in seats that are "the best available at the time". There's nowhere to type where I want to sit, so they can't know what's the best.

Does anyone know if there's a link to a PDF of these fabled forms that allow you to request specific seats? I don't think I've been posted mine.

Making a PDF available for download from the membership site itself would have been the second most sensible option - actually making them a form page in the site would have been the first most sensible option.

Anyway, they said they posted them at the weekend. I hope it arrives today or tomorrow, as I'm away to Auckland and Sydney over the next two weeks.

Got on, had a problem, rang the number, got a helpful lady, got my username and new password, went back, renewed, easy as pie. Sorted.

It's easy if you want the same seats as before and don't want to add anyone. Otherwise.....

have you been banned from the touch line this year rightstr?
Permalink Permalink
almost 18 years ago · edited over 13 years ago

No and  I had a season ticket last year also. If I'm on the touchline this year I'll just give the seat to mates to use so they can feel the collective love.

Bloody annoying I dont have the time to buggar around trying to get my seat where i wanted,so will have to stick with my one away from the action again. Not FKN happy so much for a nice improved service not much benefit from being a member last year apart from being able to experience incompetence before anybody else.

If anyone is wanting to change their seat (and can work out how) to be near to us then our block is:

Between Aisles 21 and 22

Rows E, F, G, H, and J.  There is no row I (obviously).

Not sure exactly which seats yet but we believe they are in the middle of those rows.

If you think you are in our block but you're not sure then you need to PM News or me asap.

We are communicating with the club re some of the difficulties highlighted on here so keep us posted on how you're going.  Good or  bad!

Good luck everyone!

Smithy.

Okay folks,

The theory is everything should be doable online.  Groups and additional seating, however it doesn't seem to be obvious how this works.

Tamara from the club is working on clarifying things, but the suggestion is that if you are having any troubles with the online systems, call ticketek (not on the 0800 number) and get someone on the phone.  This is your best bet of a guaranteed resolution.

Ballane.  PM me.

Some feedback folks.

-       If people are wanting to add new members they need to click on membership packages and choose the new membership required, then go to My Details and click new secondary account holder member to put the new member details in.

-       If people are having difficulty with this process, the Phoenix Membership line is 04 384 2457.  I think some people are calling 0800 TICKETEK and these people are not familiar with our product.

-       They can change their area by downloading and printing the form which can be found on our website or by calling 04 384 2457.

Did you have a season ticket or just game by game ?

This week and next week are only for renewals from last seasons memberships.
