SOMETHING you failed to mention in your  nice new newsletter TONYP
i knew this couldn't be easy

Yeah bloody ridiculous, I had exactly the same problem. Went to two seperate outlets with cash and old membership passes in hand and still they couldn't do anything?

FFS If I have the money on me and don't have a credit card, how am I supposed to pay for my renewal?

I'm hoping they can reserve my previous seats until a date that they can handle cash transactions, casue I will be pissed off if I lose my seats becasue someone couldn't operate a calculator or open the till!

After reading this thread and calming down, I realise they must just be trying to gauge the interest in renewing seats before allocating them. I suppose this could work as it gives them 2 weeks to organise the zone.

On the form you have to fill out it says you can pay by cheque and bankcard so it's not just credit card.

I just got called back. The deal is they will phone after the 23rd to find out what seats I want. Unless you are renewing with the same seats, you cannot get your seats assigned until after the initial season ticket sale period. In essence, to change seats you must forego the pre-sale advantages conveyed to existing season ticket holders - it's like you effectively resign as a season ticket holder and then apply again.

I would have thought we could take the seats not previously assigned, but for some reason they don't know that information... a bit strange because they do know the ones that are held by season tickets. Oh well, nothing to do now but wait.

i think bankcard is in fact credit card only but i would have thought five clicks on a mouse they take my cash and i get a receipt would've been just as easy. i'll just have to  hunt down a mate with a credit card i guess

They called me back and confirmed which of the benchwarmer packs I wanted, after I clarified that they said it was all sorted so that was decidedly painless after last year's fiasco.

Good point. I was lazy and just booked three tickets under my own name last year, but I'm renewing on behalf of different people this year and wouldn't mind having their names on the passes.

Bad to see I wasn't the only one with a bad experience today. Went to tickatek on Cuba after school just naively assuming it would be as simple as going there and renewing before we were rudely told you had to order over the phone or internet.

Now seeing as I haven't got any of the emails about it and have no idea what you need to get them online, We decided to try calling tickatek like we were advised but we got told til call tommorow before 4.30 and you had to call a phoenix hotline.

So far a very unsucessfull excerise

I visited the Cuba St/MFC Ticketek this morning and the chap there told me I had to ring or sort it online.  He wrote down both the phone number and the web address and so I rang this morning, got through 2nd time round and the lady renewed my three seats - no hassle, no dramas!  The names on the tickets are all mine from last year so easily renewed.

Sound's like you're closer this year News, Smithy, Marius, Greene et al so look forward to it with many a lost voice.....

With all this talk of getting actually row and seat numbers, does this mean that thier will be stricter enforcemtn of standing in your general seat allocation.  I don't think i once stood anywhere close to my seat last year. and i was A21 Row k.

So Is that saying that if you want to change your seat, you get no advantage over people buying tickets for the first time this year? If you were a day late on the 23rd then isnt it possible all the good seats would be gone in the zone, or am i misreading this?

You'd get a very slight advantage in that they ring you...so if all goes well im sure theyd ring you slightly before anyone gets the chance for most good seats to be picked up?

Allegedly

Yes indeed scoop. In theory however, they should get to us before the general sale if they process them in chronological order.

Just got a call from Ticketek confirming my 4 seats from last season. Apart from the buggy website, this has been a pretty smooth journey (so far...).

Hey - good news. Ticketek are looking at seat assignments already. Obviously they can't assign a seat that an existing season ticket holder has the rights for (until 23 June), but the have realised they can process seat assignments for the remainder.

Hard News - I've asked them to look around that section you quoted earlier:

          Row E Seats 62-71

          Row F Seats 62-72

          Row G Seats 62-72

          Row H Seats 61-73

          Row J Seats 61-70

Don't go and move the block again . I've asked for row D in that range and they might be able to get back to me today.

i dunno, it's gradually going to expand with the amount of new people getting involved, i think we just need to choreograph  it a bit better in terms of the chanting etc and get those boys at the back of aisle 23 in on it as well, that'll sound huge  (imo)

Last year I booked five season tickets - which Ticketek put as three different account numbers (matching the three surnames) so this year I'm unable to renew for all of us - just me and the hubby.  Not a huge problem - just slightly annoying.
Also one of our group is moving overseas and his seat is in the middle of our five.  I wanted to know if we can move over one seat to be beside our other friends, or reallocate his seat to another friend that now wants to join us.
And also need to buy one new season ticket for another friend.  All I want to know is if they are going to be able to sit with us.  I thought Ticketek would know which seats are not allocated - but apparently not.
First phone call to Ticketek at 8.55am this morning -it's  now 12.36pm, four phone calls later and no answers to any of my questions.  Now waiting for them to ring me back.

"one of our group is moving overseas"

How will you, the YF and the mighty Phoenix cope without him?

Of course kids should be allowed in, but only if they're within touching distance of Feverish.
