We are really missing a more creative midfielder a dribbler to give us some variety going forward.
So from my very limited understanding of playing it out from the back, the idea is it enables you to keep the ball. If you hoof it long, there is a lesser chance of that.
Which is why I am incredibly confused on our approach to progressing up the pitch today. We playing it out, find pressure, pass it back and then pump it long….So the end result is the action we are trying to avoid by playing it short.

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

our primary attack option seems to be to hold the ball at the back and wait for a run from the midfield through the defence.
So far that long killer pass hasnt found the mark.
Paulsen has cramp. He's gonna have to work os his hydration if he wants to be the #1

Hopefully Old can bring that. Sutton is another player that’s a bit more creative. But definitely lacking in creative players

I agree with you, but moaning about playing it safe and slow on a hot 3pm kickoff away game is hardly a new tactic. Especially with a newish team with a new manager in charge.
