Sydney stepped up another gear, if it was possible, but hopefully we can weather it. The tempo increased and this is the last ten minutes.
Whether we like the Smurfs or not, their conditioning seems exceptional.

How they can make light of it is beyond me

Bozza would be calling it as it is - utter shark! He'd be fined for it by the FFA but at least he'd call the Sydney favouritism.

Waine has not been able to impose himself on the game so far.

A point would be a fantastic result. How long is this ref going to add though?
Permalink Permalink

He could come on, but isn't the game too fast for him?

The 4th official adds nothing. The referee decides.

we'll the 4th advises the number of mins shown on the board, ref can decide how much to add fer sure. rare that they disagree by 4 mins.

thank fudge for that.

not sure why Corica is so upset, Sail came for the ball and got a touch, perfectly legal.

Deserved at least a point. New ref and it showed. Completely got bullied by Sidnee FC and was utter sharke.

Still, we’ll done the the team for holding out for that. A couple of better decisions and we might have got a bit more but hey ho. Can’t complain about the effort.

Waine doesn’t seem to be able to find himself in games at the moment, hopefully he starts to build up match fitness over the next few weeks.

And sail. Wow, just wow. Take a bow sir!

End to end exciting game with so many opportunities for both sides, a draw is a fair result.  I'm very proud of the boys over the past 2 weeks - 4 wins 2 draws, they deserve a good couple days break

Would be laughing if Uffie Twitted Corica.
We hung in there.
Bobo a great player and Waine and Old didn’t quite find their range despite some promise.
Did Sydney get a card for the rugby tackle that was waved play on? Burgess definitely didn’t, because he was adjudged not to have fouled.
Wish the ref well in his quest to grow a moustache.
Great run of games! Unbeaten.

Running out of superlatives for Sail.

Gobsmacked by the ref.

Take the point and move on. This team is looking very solid overall considering how much talent we lost last year.

I’ll give you a guess and your answer must include some perjorative and the word Sydney to be considered…

Saul injured again?

They'd had 8 days off between games. I think our conditioning is exceptional the fact that we were even as competitive as we were.

And now an 8 day rest for the lads. 4th and a game in hand on Sydney and equal points with them!

11 points from 5 games in a 14 day stretch. Don't think we could've asked for much more than that to be fair. They beat my absolute minimum of 10 points needed from those 5 games so hats off to the players and management too.

Now we can breathe. Hope Uffie gives the boys get a couple of days off after that run.

On the game itself, we invited them back in. I thought we set ourselves up well on the counter. Always up against it when the man in the middle was wearing a Sydney top as well.

Unbeaten in 6. Long may the streak continue! COYN! 🟡⚫

Also, you all know how I feel about Sail, so will just leave it with this, just wow. 👏👏👏

No card?!

Sure play advantage but produce the yellow at the end of play.

This ref is a shocker.
New rules isn't it? Play advantage and you can't go back for the card. Or am I dreaming that?!

Is it? Absolutely ludicrous then. Refs on the forum? That level of cynical challenge should have been punished.

Where, Barcelona???   Corica is not quite the quality of good old Graeme Arnold, but has twice the ego. And it rubs off on the players in their attitude. This impresses and intimidates the young referees a bit more than it would some of the older ones.
