Ugly game with a goal to match but who cares as long as we keep a clean sheet 2nd half. Shaun Edwards makes me very nervous though. Always a hair trigger away from a mad decision.

Often are but in this case was interesting to hear the player claim the ref say it was a foul. Though I'm going to guess he misheard or isn't representing what was said accurately.

Yeez we play some boring football at times. DM drops into the back line, so we take 4 passes to switch flanks. And then back again.
Not getting enough out of Old and Sandaval.

Especially when it is an indignant Scott Neville, who (on replay) was seen as running the ball into his own net (likely propelled by his own keeper, as judged by me and myself only, from my limited TV angle....)  fuming that we scored a "controversial" goal and that Shaun Evan told him "it was a foul but he'd let the VAR deal with it".  
Now of course the commentators are shooting their mouths off that Waine fouled Neville, but they said nothing of the sort until he turned up in front of the camera.  What a bunch of codswallop.

The thing is, if Evans saw a foul, he would have blown the whistle for a foul. He would let the play go on with a flag for a potential offside (as far as I know), and let the VAR decide later, but not for something he can see as a foul right in front of him.

Hardly surprising Neville is whining and trying to palm the blame off. it's his second oggie in five days.
