Thank god the ground drainage isn't being managed by Wellington Water or it would be a fudgeing swamp if the streets are anything to go by.

Rain map suggests that the heavy stuff will have passed by game time, we may just have a damp ground to contend with and no downpour.

Nice of us to wear yellow so that Victory can play in their home kit. Gracious hosts as ever

Firing up!

Let’s do these guys by 3 ,4 or 5 so I can chill tonight and enjoy my Ohanami party tomorrow. That’s the spring picnic business here. The week since losing the last game has been a bit crap, tbh.

Metservice said it was 11 degrees in Welly when I set off from Palmy (with its balmy 22 degrees). Hope I've got enough layers on.

Due to a last minute change of plans, does anyone know if there is radio commentary available?

The forecast I've just seen had the rain likely to stop around 6ish and start up a little bit around 9ish. Hopefully a 'not-rain' window. I suspect the damage in terms of suppressed crowd has already be done, but hopefully the game will be a 'not-rain' extravaganza. Maybe just a slightly 'damp' surface underfoot - time for the long studs! This is probably the wettest lead up to a nix game in Wellington that I've seen in a good few years.

Just landed from sunny Invercargill.

Good to be back home and throwing the wind, rain and Phoenix at 'em.

Very interested to see how both teams adapt to the conditions tonight. The team that does it best will win tonight.

I feel as desperate about getting a result as someone who hasn't had a date with a woman in years.

We’ve had 4 very good attacks and fashioned no dangerous shots.

Some awful wasted attacks so far

Lads need to develop some killer instinct because that's going to be the difference

Salas has been a beat behind the play so far. Looks like he’s not adapting to the conditions very well

Communication is a bit off at the moment, not sure if the surface is messing up the rhythm

Fark me, we need to be shooting at every opportunity in these conditions. Why are we being so cute around the box ffs??

Agreed, and that long pot from Fornaroli suggests he is on the same page. Tricky conditions for keepers, make them work.

I’d guess that due to conditions the ball isn’t sitting so nicely for the shot. A bit harder to control?

Probably his first time ever playing in weather like this.

Edit - Ref looks the type who would be a good speller.

Could be a game made for David Ball?

Nothing in that against Old.

Come on Phoenix!

It’s a tragedy; I would’ve rated our chances to crack 10k again if the weather played ball

While I think kosta might have been offside, Old has to do better there
I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Questionable decision making in the final third but we’re knocking at the door. You feel like it’ll come.
