Piper could be the natural heir to Chris Wood. Massive physical presence with a knack for scoring goals but doesn't really look like a footballer outside of that. That's pretty much exactly what Wood was starting out. Wasn't until relatively recently that Wood was recognised as anything other than a poacher.

Wood could always play. Have watched him since age 16/17. I think you're under stating the stages he has passed through to become an excellent Premier Leaague footballer.

Midfield isn't strong enough to protect the ball, Rufer excepted. Sheridan has been bumped off the ball several times.

And there's Kosta doing the same thing just now.

I mean he's still pretty arse in the air or at his feet but by god he has to be one of the best shot stoppers in the league.

Kurto number one and him number two for shot stopping? The best we’ve been this season is with him in goal, though Alby didn’t get a chance with a confident team in front.

His defense can’t be that confident in him with corners and crosses though. Langerak makes that look child’s play. 

This reminds me a bit of Moss/Paston. 

That turn around from the Ishige break to the goal though. 💔

Well you can't concede that many shots in ahalf and not expect to go down. The flaw of Chiefyball.

I'll be dawned if it hasn't been an entertaining half though.

Even so, I still think Wootton was slow to react and should've got more of a challenge in on Machach.

Very entertaining. VUC do have some seriously talented players. Arzani a bit of a cod, but the kid can play.  Surely he gets another shot at Europe at some point.

I mean the dude is famine and feast, sometimes in the same action. Weak at corners, often fighting himself with the yips or something. 

But having had so few moments to feast on, I’m adding that Veilupilay save to the things I’ve enjoyed!

josh has the cream, but not the cake. 

he's one of many players that we have who is not up to standard

but he's the only one that who gets the doesn't "deserve to be a pro" level hate

I’m mean we’d held off so many attacks we were going to let one through eventually either from our error or their skill. At a 1 to 8 corner count or whatever I’m struggling to get mad at the defense. Wistful, you betcha!
