I've said it before, but I'll say it again, Im really not happy with Rufer being one of our starting CM's, he is so slow on the ball, takes so long to look for a pass, which inevitably results in him passing back to the defence. If he was just half a second quicker with his decision making he'd see Ball and Hooper in better positions to receive the ball.

Neither Rufer or Lewis should be starting CMs, if we're being honest.

 totally agree, I just think Lewis offers more and we have one other option in Pennington, who I think should be starting ahead of Rufer, until Jan when the Mexican arrives.

 It's not hard to figure out - when Davila was playing, it gave Piscopo space. He doesn't have that anymore. He's not good enough to bring a whole team with him like Davila is.

This is what I thought would happen this season. It's easy for all of this to go stale without an injection of real quality, which we do not have yet and won't have until January.

We simply lost too many good players. Hooper seems like a guy about 2 months away from retirement.

Hope we see some Pennington, Waine  - and I can't believe I'm saying it - Sotirio in the second half. We are lacking skill, but also energy.

Feel like this game could use a bit if Waine. Inject a bit of dynamic pace up front.

finally a yellow card - been a fair few agricultural tackles from both sides that have been let go.

We need to get Sutton in for McGarry asap. His season has mirrored the last, started well going forward but found out in defence repeatedly.

We don't like scoring in the first half do we?
Bang average in all departments and all positions. As mentioned above, the squad is lacking quality and it shows.

Rufer still hasn't learned how to do short passes

That was awful from Rufer. Terrible pass meaning Lewis had to foul the man to stop the Jets attack and cop a yellow for it.

well that was a pretty average half of footy from us, we let them run all over us, nothing really moving forward (Lewis and Rufer have to take the flak for that). McGarry being worked really hard but not helped by the lack of any defensive work by Piscopo. The lads need a rocket!
I'd get Piscopo off, maybe bring Sotirio on for him, or Waine and move ball to the wing. Would be good to see Sutton on at some point too.
I reckon we'll see Pennington on for Rufer pretty quickly.

We should be down more.
Can see us conceeding a couple more and scoring none next half.

Ball is never that good as one of the front 2 imo. He's better at being a link player. I also think pretty much all of Newcastle's attacks have looked threatening because McGarry is having a tea and a nap.

We are deservedly losing, but it’s hard watching us play against 12 players again. Would love to see a replay of the elbow to balls face, wonder why it wasn’t reviewed by VAR

Honestly think he’s good enough but trying to hard at the moment and can’t find his rhythm

Don't know why McGarry is getting grief for the goal, he didn't allow his man to escape and get a shot off under no pressure.

Could he have stopped the cross, probably not, he's having to play tighter with Piscopo awol on D.

Interesting that Uffie stated pre-match that these were going to be our tactics. He knows a bit more than me about tactics but clearly the plan isn't working so far. 

We look sluggish, sitting too deep and keep giving away possession.

Piscopo is just not a team player. When does he ever look to play someone in? Get him off. Sotirio gives more options, pull Ball back.

Trying to take responsibility. Hooper was yelling at Lewis to shoot, not loft it to the back stick. It’s an instruction?
