If you are planning on going wait to buy your tickets. This game wont sell out. They will discount nearer game time to move more tickets

I think with the uptake so far, it might get pretty close to the mark. Certainly wouldn't expect to see any discounting in the next 2-3 weeks at least after a strong start.

Accommodation is already up about 60-70% on what I paid last week too. So it points to a fair chunk of people getting their ducks in a row early on, and lots of out of towners bringing some money to Wellington. 😄

I love the show and I want Ollie Palmer to sign for the Nix since Mullen wants to stick near Liverpool for obvious family reasons.

I'm looking forward to watching them play. My biggest surprise is scoring a ticket in the very place I have been all season. jammy luck I am guessing.

Pax 12234 - although I don’t think it matters as much if the Nix are paid an appearance fee. I wonder if they’ll get more for a full house but somehow doubt it unless they’d also take the cost risk of a flop.
I’d say ticket sales will slow a fair bit now the initial hype has passed; bronze and silver will sell out soon but hard to see both sides’ gold and platinum aisles getting close to selling out. And whoever is buying the Ultimate (dynamic priced) tickets…really?

And wasn’t sure about going seeing as they beat Charlton to secure promotion but hey the news story got The Valley broadcast around the world. Of us losing. Anyway - hopefully seeing them next year in the Championship; will find out this weekend.

Hope they go well. Always had a soft spot for Charlton.

I think this will age well in fans memories - I genuinely think they'll be at least in the top half this season, and wouldn't be surprised if they're in the prem in the near future. People hate them in the UK because of the US/Hollywood stuff, but no one can deny they've been a total force in the EFL.

Obviously they're no AC Milan, but I think it's worth the ticket price. I know Marto mentioned the price of going to a Wrexham game over here being cheaper, but they're playing OUR team in OUR city. That will always be cool.

People hate then because they are jealous of the success. They are not your typical rich owners either, using the club to better their own name and ripping the heart out of the organisation. They've invested heavily in the city and are building a long term relationship with the fans and general public.

Maybe I’ve been desensitised by A-league pricing but yeah that’s surprisingly reasonable given the stature of the visitors.

Many clubs in the UK do have good owners that are a big part of the community (Argyle for one). Its the whole Disney thing that annoys a lot of people in the UK, not the owners of Wrexham particularly (who are quite popular).

Anyone have an update on ticket sales? Has Melbourne and Sydney been selling well?

I've enjoyed the first three episodes of season four out so far.  Disappointed that it isn't one if the top 10 shows on Disney + in NZ since it's return.  Somehow The secret life of mormon wives is number 3. FFS really.  Sounds like utter  trash

Great Ryan Reynolds asking to play “Auckland City” because of their great story and first season success.

Yeah that was a little disappointing.  But I think it was more the oldest club v newest club thing he liked. And Phil Parkinson said no. Kind of stink NZ didn't get mentioned.

It’s going to be a busy trip down under:

Actors Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman buy Australian sailing team

Hollywood co-stars and close friends Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have been named the new co-owners of Australia's SailGP team.

The actors, who starred together in Deadpool & Wolverine, announced on Thursday, US time, they had purchased the successful team, which has won three championships in just four seasons.

Josh
Sheridan Payne Hughes LKH
Retre Rufer Nagasawa
Ishige Supyk LBS

Is the team I would put out. Looking at that lineup we really need a new centre back and probably a whole new frontline as well

Who would you start instead of them?

Josh is A-League quality, just had a couple clangers last season and is also not helped by comparisons to his predecessors Paulsen and a prime Sail. Unfortunately you can't expect to have keepers that good all the time.

I think Nagasawa is a decent A-League midfielder, if not import quality. Yeah we could do with an upgrade on Retre but unfortunately Gill has been quite upfront about the fact that our transfer priorities are CB, #9 and #10. I don't expect we will sign a midfielder. I hope Roa Conchie can step up this season. He had that one good half in the win away to Macarthur...

The club should make a splash and sign an import that will get people excited and have them introduced in this game...

But sadly that won't happen.

Edit to add looks like a loan deal

Our team is so thin, what about fielding some Nix All Stars? Ifill, Siggy, Brown? We get trashed anyway but the narrative for the TV series would win us over. Chrystal Palace Legend, local hard working hero and footballer turned Billionaire company founder.

Our team isnt thin, except for the fact we have no good forwards. In one area of the pitch, not the whole team.
