YUSS!!!!

Just as an aside I wonder with this SuperCity thing if they might actually finish building NHS one day. Would be great if it could eventually seat 30,000 +.

Looking forward to catching up with all my old mates from Welly and ChCh at North Harbour. It will be like a big old school reunion. Also looking forward to the street riots when the Auckland FC fans and Phoenix fans face off in a huge bun fight!!!

Find a cheap backpackers in town and use a bus.

Unless you can get something in the halls of residence at Massey there are just a couple of Motels nearby.

Alright, that decides that then. Us Auckland Feverites look forward to hosting you all! Time for Auckland to prove it can get behind football. It will be interesting to see if they find a way of increasing the 19,000 embankment-less capacity.

This is fantastic news, especially about the busses. Can't see any reason why this game won't be a success. Super excited.

What a waste having only 19 to 22k in the stadium when we could have had a whole lot more fans watching it somewhere else. Aboo.

I let my guitar speak for me

Right- gutted its not in chch, but money where my mouth is booking tickets tonight for auckland. Now when tickets go on sale, where will the standing/white noise area be at NHS?

Dont fancy sitting for 90 mins so i can bear the full brunt of someone blowing a vuvu in my ear a la SA.

Thames ? Auckland.

Three for me, and two for them.

On balance, the only decision NZF could realistically make. Ignoring the Auckland market just too risky. If managed well including a real city hub interfacing with free buses, and a huge dose of White noise, this could really expose Auckland to the (new) joys of football. I think it will work and plan on trekking up to find out.

I know, I know, its serious!

Worst possible choice. Waste of money, screws over the South Island, and gives Auckland their second match this year. The agreement with North Harbour Stadium must go, it is holding the game back.

That being said, what's done is unfortunately done. I have no doubt it'll be a success and I'll almost certainly be there. Great news about the buses. Looking forward to seeing some of you bastard Aucklanders at the Speights Ale House!

Thames ? Auckland.

Everyone here gives me crap for being an Aucklanders and now Aucklanders are saying I'm not an Aucklander! Argh! I'm moving back up though in three weeks, so I'll be an Aucklander again by the time the game comes around.

You've got to stop calling that trial a football match! It was a rubbish excuse of a game.

I'm sure one of us bastard Aucklanders (or Thames-ites) will buy you a beer if you make the trip up!

I won't rub it in. As If it was in Christchurch I would be sad. But I would congratulate them

That's the second "suck it bitches" toned comment I've read in the last 10 minutes.

Can't speak for others but I certainly wouldn't gave rubbed it in had the game gone to AMI.

Last chance surely. If this isn't a sell out I don't want the All Whites to play again in Auckland. Plenty of countries have a national stadium, that should be Wellington, then Christchurch or Dunedin.

Typical Dorkland have a terrible record with the AW's but still get the games.... Would rather have 2 games in Wellington than one in Dorkland. Should of gone to AMI.

2 games in Wellington?

Should we change the name of the Nz All whites to the Wellington All Whites

Haha perhaps, but it's still more than Christchurch has had. Hopefully NZF give them a match sooner rather that later, and hopefully the Nix match will suffice for them in the meantime. Until then, I'm looking forward to Auckland. And I'll definitely take you up on that beer

For the record I would have driven to Christchurch if that game had been there. Can understand this NZF decision but hardly surprised.

Are you serious? That's unreal.

And no I don't think I can afford to fly up. Would be pretty selfish of me to go alone and too much for others to come along.

I am considering the Wellington game seriously though.

Something has gone wrong with the stuff story:

"...New Zealand Football boss Michael Glading said the addition of the Honduras game was "payback" for fans who have been so loyal since the All Whites beat Bahrain to qualify for South Africa.

"We now have two World Cup sides of obvious quality coming to New Zealand with stars from the best leagues in the World," Glading said.

"It's a football opportunity that's been rare in recent years but we see it as a very special way for the team to thank the New Zealand public for all their World Cup support."

"Football has reached a new mark on in New Zealand's sporting landscape and the time is right to celebrate that, and build even more momentum, with a two very big events."

Meanwhile, Otago have made two changes to the side which fell to its third straight defeat of the season against Wellington in Dunedin last weekend.

Liam Coltman comes in at hooker for Peter Mirrielees who drops to the bench, while Joe Hill gets the start on the right wing after Ryan Shortland was ruled out with a leg strain.

OTAGO: 15 Chris Small, 14 Joe Hill, 13 Ben Smith, 12 Josh Tatupu, 11 Fetu'u Vainikolo, 10 Glenn Dickson, 9 Sean Romans; 8 Adam Thomson, 7 Alando Soakai (capt), 6 Paul Grant, 5 Hayden Triggs, 4 Hoani Matenga, 3 Sam Hibbard, 2 Liam Coltman, 1 Kees Meeuws. Reserves: 16 Peter Mirrielees, 17 Halani Aulika, 18 Seko Kalou, 19 Brad Cameron, 20 Johnny Legg, 21 Andrew Parata, 22 Paula Kinikinilau."

Huh?

I swear NZF are run by children.  I almost wish the game fails so that Auckland stop getting such preferential treatment above other (non-Wellington) centres and that NZF get the sufficient boot in the backside they need.  Almost...  but I'll rise above it.  Can't attend the game, though, due to work.  What's done is done.  4-1 to the All Whites, let's hope.
