Pretty good to get two WC teams across the line. Hondurras game would be quite an interesting battle I think.

Hopefully with two games, our overseas players will see it as more worth their time coming

Honduras in Christchurch. SI need 1 of the matches.

Hamiltron is bad enough for rugby tests. Screw going there for Football

i notice today that roy keane pulled/threatened to pull Gareth Mcauley out of the Northern Ireland squad for their friendly tomorrow (dont ask me how he did that) bc ipswich are thin (he is Tommy Smith's centre-back partner).

I really hope we dont have problems with european managers. This will be the only demand on their players for another 12 months.

What an awesome result! Well done NZF.

2 top quality sides within 4 days.

Looking forward to finding out where we'll be travelling to on the 9th.

Not looking forward to seeing the Visa bill for the month of October though!

From the release...

Ticketing details for both matches and the venue for the October 9 match will be announced at a later date.

yeah, be interesting to know where the games will be played and the cost of the tickets.
also, it'd be great if YF season pass holders had a chance of buying the tickets first?
I don't remember if that happened for the Bahrain game or if I just bought them the first day they went on sale..

Hopefully we'll get at least one game so I can start organizing another huge group.

Why? Are you bigger fans than the rest of us?

Three for me, and two for them.

Tickets for the November 14th match went on sale ages before the match and there were months when fans could've bought tickets. If you were a fan of the All Whites you would have got tickets. Period.

Because it's not an official FIFA window I suspect. During a FIFA decreed window then clubs get no say.

they have no say but the clubs can just declare the player as "injured" so they cant travel for the friendlies

I realise he has said he is undecided about his international future and is planning to take his time to think things through but I really hope Ryan Nelsen agrees to play (even if just for these 2 games) - to repay the fans, support his home city, put bums on seats, out of loyalty to his team mates etc etc.
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Having seen footy at both Waikato and NHS, I'd say they're both pretty damn good. And that the latter isn't round

after thinking a bit, im starting to think it could be good to have the Honduras game in auckland. they have a bad record, but now is the best time to try get them into football, they have a large population base, and if they dnt attend a game like this they wont be able to ask for another game again

i think Auckland could do this.... but at same time will be little sad to see CHCH miss out after their attendance to nix game last year and decent track record with all whites

Cant see Auckland getting it. They have the U20 World Cup Quaifiers there in October, which brings another issue, will Wood get cleared for that.
Phoenix have a nice break at that time between Fri 1st Oct and Sun 17th
