Put me off a little being $60.

Email from the Phoenix also states the 12th. It includes the generic promo code, so it will be a free for all then.

$60 higher than I thought but you can't miss this.

I thought $60 was the maximum they could credibly do and any more would be a disaster.  Seems like the same wavelength.

Nearly $2mill if it's a sellout. Nice. NZF could do quite a lot with $2 mill. Arrange a game or two e.g.

"At the end of the drive the lawmen arrive...

I'll take my chance because luck is on my side or something...

Her name is Rio, she don't need to understand...

Oh Rio, Rio, hear them shout across the land..."

Super rugby final tickets this weekend are about $70 so this seems like a deal.

The price is fine, even with the cost to get to Wellington. However, it will be hard to get accommodation so late and I think there will be zero chance of getting those two days off work in the middle of the week. I loved the Bahrain game when I went down and saw it, but don't know how I will manage it this year.

they didn't seen to manage a great deal with the $10m from the World Cup, so I cannot see them doing a huge amount with $2m.

The $10m from last time was split like this...

$4m went to the players for qualifying
$4m was used to set up the New Zealand Football Foundation to support grass roots
$2m was kept by NZ Football and ring-fenced in their accounts as the "international teams reserve". That's now nearly all spent.

So it's pretty much a myth that NZF have somehow pissed away $10m and the game will go bankrupt if we don't win through again. Of course we would rather have another $10m but the receipts from this game will still be a handy sum that will allow NZF to just about maintain current operations once costs related to the two games are taken out.

in the time since we have had the $10m we have played about 3 friendly games - my comment was directed to Jerzy that if we make $2m off this game we will be able to organise some more.

Only if ASB jump back in again for 4 years @ 2.5m each. People seem to forget that. Without that, we are fucked. Need I remind you about the budget cuts this year that were made for not qualifying for the Confeds because we 'never budgeted for that cash'. Yeah right.

Can't believe anyone is complaining about a $60 ticket. Check out the cost of tickets to concerts or other sports playoffs. $60 is a realistic price. Last time against Bahrain was one of the greatest sporting occasions in NZ history. The price is right IMO

Midweek be damned, if anyone's work won't give them a couple of days off with this much notice then I think they should look at getting a better job.

You missed my point. He said "the price is right" I agreed with him so I posted an appropriate gif of the game show 'the price is right'. Quite clever actually.

You missed FT's point. The point is you have added zero value to the forum with that post.

Cause all we ever need is to wait for a gif to load that adds nothing to the conversation.....

Actually I should add that to the shit no one says thread.

I actually find little gifs and pictures to be amusing.  If it takes your computer a long time to download the gif maybe you should pedal faster on the bicycle that is powering your connection, or upgrade to broadband.

Why the hell don't we play the Socceroos more often? Like, annually? Twice. Aren't NZF and FFA on speaking terms? Does FFA think we're shit or what?

Australia finds it much easier to line up games in FIFA windows. Games against NZ would be a last resort option for them. I'm sure NZ Football would love a game against Aussie in NZ, would be a decent money spinner.

NZ v Oz home and away. Annually. For a trophy. Why not? I realise this is about 90 years too late, but still...

Since when is this the threshold for participation in the forum? Sorry if I missed the memo on that one, but from what I can see that would rule out a huge number of posts. And that would make life far less interesting for those of us who like to lurk in the background.

Nufc annoys me too from time to time, but the amount of shit he cops from some people is absurd. He's pretty harmless and should continue to gif away. Gif all over the place nufc.

I've been in touch with ticketek and there is no limit to the amount of tickets you buy. And there is only a $12 booking fee for the total amount of tix.  All we need now is to know where the white noise zone is....

Game on!

The email the Phoenix sent out said there was a limit of 10.

"enter ************ as the promo code and you have the right to purchase up-to 10 tickets per transaction on-line."

Is it only Season Ticket holders that are getting this email?

I've got a Club Membership and used to get all sorts of newsletters etc from them.

Just sorted flights and accomodation for the game, hope I can get my hands on a $40 ticket in the White Noise zone
