Auckland United vs Hawkes Bay United can be best summed up with this:

"40y long ball to no one, turned over, defence recovers, short pass, 40y long ball to no one, turned over, defence recovers, short pass"

Harry Edge was the only name I recognised and while he had a very very good first touch, about 2 out of 10 passes went to a team mate with the rest going everywhere else.

Awful is a compliment.

Nelson 4- Tee Dub Kids 3  in some very very shit house conditions.  Amazing game.

Nelson's goals came courtesy of two penalties, one cross that whipped into the top corner and one from a scramble in the box. TW were up 1-0 at half time and were much better in the first half. Sam Mason-Smith returned to Nelson to score a hat-trick for TW, having played for Richmond Athletic a couple of seasons back.

He's handy alright, but to be fair Nelson can basically pick their two best seniors in the entire region, in this case Coey Turipa and Ryan Stewart (the latter scoring two penalties).
It was awfully wet..

U20.

After 24 mins Canterbury 1-0 Wgtn.

Long delay as waiting for ambulance.

Canterbury pacy striker Cameron Broxup down with concussion after aerial challenge.

Player down on pitch for last 15 mins.

Has been good open game so far.

Must be busy day in Christchurch. Still no ambulance, and player not being moved from pitch as a precaution.

Game lasted 135mins after 90 min first halt due to injury .

As someone who has seen badly managed football head injuries and the consequences, it's great to see someone's taking head injuries seriously.  Well done that ref.

Canterbury vs Nelson will be a good game this week. If Nelson win they end the first round with a perfect record

Best I've seen Nelson play. Huge contrast to their first game against Canterbury last year. With five wins in a row, the conference is Nelson's to lose now.
