I see from the draw that TW have not gone back to playing their games at times that suited the crowds the first 3 seasons. As per last year they are playing their home games at either 2pm or 3pm on a summers afternoon.

I guess they must be happy with the crowds they got by playing at that time last season

The first season was a buzz- was it 5.30pm or 6pm KOs on A friday afternoon? 800- 1,000 people at Newtown park bathing in the sun and enjoying the footie

My memory is  a bit fuzzy now tho'

gonna be a tough season for Miramar Tee Dub given the short preparation - but then again I'd guess a lot of teams haven't been training hard out yet. G and Raf aren't gonna play apparently.  Guys like Stingray, Woody, JD, O'Connor, Robson, Emilio, Hashim, Halikias, Eager and I can't remember anyone else. Think they might be light on numbers though - I guess those used to getting coin aren't into it.
Poor communication from the disinterested Board/GM to the former member clubs IMO.

it's still a bit hazy to me really. Some Mar sideshow as far as a I know. John Cameron in the mix. Stu had the contract to coach so him and Howe coaching. O'Keefe manage and Gill GM.
Only a few mar players.More Bubbles than anything.

Exodus Team Wellington set for 2010/11 ASB Premiership kick off.

Exodus Team Wellington kicks off their 2010/11 ASB Premiership campaign with a tough away trip to take on last season champions Waitakere United on Sunday 17th October.

With a number of changes both on and off the park during the off season, everyone involved in the Exodus Team Wellington organisation is looking forward to getting down to the business of playing and trying to win football matches.

Changes off the park include Miramar Rangers Football Club providing management and direction for the franchise in the 2010/11 ASB premiership, which has been supported by Team Wellington member clubs, Capital Football and New Zealand Football.

Director and outgoing Chairman John Dow said, The new ASB Premiership represents an excellent opportunity for the Wellington region to demonstrate the excellent football enthusiasm and ability that exists here and I am delighted that the strong and successful Miramar Rangers club have agreed to take on such a key role with Exodus Team Wellington. In my opinion their winning of the prestigious Chatham Cup recently and long history of National League football will provide the experience and winning football attitude to underpin a successful ASB Premiership campaign and it is great that the Wellington clubs, Capital Football and New Zealand Football fully endorse and support this new approach.

Mark Chote, who sat on the previous Team Wellington board, will take over the Chairmanship.  Mark said, "This season we will see Exodus Team Wellington showcase the best of the capital football club players.  We embark on a new three year plan to win the ASB Premiership bringing O League football to Wellington and providing the best local talent an opportunity on the national stage. We are also very pleased to announce the appointment of respected sports administrator Shaun Gill as General Manager."

The coaching team from last season remains in place with Stu Jacobs and Charlie Howe reappointed to roles of Head Coach and Assistant Coach respectively.

All Wellington club players have been invited to participate.  This has seen the 2010/11 Exodus Team Wellington squad take on a strong local flavour with all but two players representing Central League or Capital Premier teams from the Capital Football catchment during the winter season.

Head Coach Stu Jacobs said, We have some great football talent in the Wellington region and Im extremely happy with the squad we have put together.  The guys cant wait to get to Waitakere and make a statement about the football talent coming out of Wellington.

Please see following page for the full Exodus Team Wellington squad.

Exodus Team Wellingtons first home game will be in Wellington on Saturday 30th October, hosting Auckland City, kick off 2pm.  $5 for Adults at the gate and free entry for children under 18.

Number 9 being a defender = wrong.

Are there still 4 places in the squad up for grabs?  Is it worth me getting in touch with Stu?  Sending him some footage of the London Poly 3rds vs Old Stationers 3rds this weekend?

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Thanks Gilly.

As a previous critic of the lack of action on the TW website I must say I'm delighted with the info/updates over the last few days. Well done to the person responsible for that.

is john sutherland going to get some game time? I always rated him, would love to see what he can do at NZFC (ASB) level.

TBH, I don't think the team is looking amazing, some good quality players in there, but will the depth be there for the season?

Seems to be lacking just a couple of dynamite players, I hope Abba does wel,l as well as Sutherland but will be interesting to see if Sutherland comes up to the mark, definitely has the goods. Where are Dom Rowe and Malivuk, Wellingtons two best strikers??

Who is the frenchie?

you mean the Moroccan dude? Not sure tbh, on his page it says that he's played professionally in Morocco as well as playing for his National Futsal side. sounds good to me. I just realized that I can only make it to 4-5 TW games as it clashes with my coaching commitments, which sucks balls!
