Croud estimate?

probably more than the Nix.

Not many.

Better parking and public transport at this game

Petone will face Wellington United next weekend in the Division One final of the BP Railway Avenue Tournament for the Hilton Petone Cup.

The final is scheduled for Sunday 26 March at 2.30pm at Petone Memorial.

National league semifinal. Local amateur league preseason friendly. I know what I'll be choosing.

I shall be driving from lower hutt to this, and back to the Backbencher. PM me if anyone wants a lift.

The game won't be on Sky. We're hopeful of getting games at Davey F televised in the future.

That is a real shame.  I suppose this way they get some money from people paying at the gate, whereas they would have  to arrange something with the nix to share a bit of revenue at the stadium.  Of course the downside is that it won't be on Television.

Harsh for Team Wellington, cards should be wiped after end of regular season!

Team Wellington without Ben Harris and Mário Barcia for their #SSPremiership semi-final. Suspended through accumulated yellows. Big losses.

Waitakere are missing at least one.  Probably should have just rested those players in the last game to be super safe.

Do they wipe cards for the final?

Has had a couple of starts but mainly been used off the bench, has put in decent performances when he has come on, nothing spectacular but a good solid squad member

At the start of the season I seriously didn't rate him but he's improved a lot over the season

4-4, extra time needed.

Waitakere went 5-4 up in the first minute of extra time. Wellington have levelled 5-5 with 6 mins remaining.

End to end stuff.

Thanks for the stream #Pashtrick - awesome. Junior GG said it was the most entertaining live match he had ever attended.

Big thanks to Patrick for getting the stream for this. Would have dearly loved to be there but it is brilliant to still have been able to see the game.

Also to note, that link to YouTube still has the whole game for anyone that didn't watch it. Worth just watching the extra time even.

Think that was the most entertaining game I've ever witnessed.

Also big shout out to Ryan Cain and Pascal Reinhadt for both asking us what the score was as part of their smack talk.

Did no TW players engage in this dark art?

No idea. But

1) It's a terrible form of smack talk

2) You really should be sure you'll win the game if you're going to do it.

Fudge that was an epic game

Yes thanks for the stream. Really appreciated watching that in Thailand and the stream was continuous throughout the whole game.

There were 12 goals (plus penalties) in the game but I think the post still won. Can anyone remember how many holes there were in the post ?

      Just pulling yer leg.

      Top job Patrick.

Best part was chanting back whats the score when we levelled/went up

That was and epic game! I had two football crazy kids with me and they thought it was the best, one of the best games they ever saw. They went on for while talking about world cup finals etc and importance versus entertainment.

Thanks to both team for this crazy shift.

It really was a rollercoaster of bantz between us and the Waitakere players. They'd score, give us shark, TW would score and we'd give it back - and so forth.

Allegedly

The bit I loved was the goalscorer (I won't name names) sliding on his knees in front of us to celebrate scoring the goal and worshiping his Waitak badge knowing full well that next week he'll be wearing a different badge for winter football.

Much plastic.

Give the guy a break mate, he'd taken a clearly horrible head-knock and couldn't remember where he was...
