Calm down mate Its all a tad silly, I think there is something more to it then just cricket...why would he have had the link with Auck....and then signed for manawatu??? Dome Rowe didnt go to half the trainings and no one cared...Im sure Ian is a big enough figure in the team to still be the leader and have time for his cricket...

Question: Does the management at Youngheart even care about Youngheart? It doesn't look like it at all. The season starts in a few weeks (as far as I know, less than a month) and two of our only seven/eight contracted players have decided to pack it in. Thats pathetic. If the YH staff gave a sh*t about what happened to the club, we would all be very disappointed about the loss of Robbo and Mousie, like we are now, but we would also know that there was still a side that was gonna come out on a Sunday and play. At the moment YH would be doing something spectacular if they get 11 men and a reserve keeper down to Christchurch. And I thought last season's preparation was crap...

Can we not find someone in Palmerston North passionate about football to take over and DO SOMETHING? Christ I'd do it except I'm 16, know nothing at all about running a football club, and live in Wellington.

Mr Sandbrook... no. You wont get close. I wont deny that money is a reason why these players leave but the fact remains that they leave... for whatever reason.

Personally for me, Adam Cowan is a very good footballer but I've yet to see him play in his best position (not that I could tell you where that is mind you). He needs a wiser calmer head beside him because he does have a tendancy to lose the plot on occasions and get wound up. Passionate, with out a doubt but sometimes passion can turn to fury.

To the people that say 'Do the board care? What are they doing" Offer your services as a volunteer. Swap the time posting on here ranting about how so and so does this and doesn't do that to putting the mental energy in helping your franchise do better. Its obvious the league is in a predicament for this year (revamp next year) so rather than point fingers and abuse those that do put the time in free of charge to run the board, offer your advice and get involved and support your team. Its the old adage of put up or shut up. I'm guessing most wouldn't because of the volunteer status and other reasons.
Most of us here don't agree with HappyTeds views but you can't deny the fact that he gets involved with his franchise and goes to every game in the bloody country.

I would think with the amount of YM knockers on this board volunteering, the performance behind the scenes could turn around quickly.
