Hard to believe thats the first hat trick in an arsenal-spurs game since 1978.
Eze has definitely arrived now.
Good luck getting back in there Odegaard!

And he is Nigerian according to the One news report on the game

lol, he's of Nigerian decent sure but he was born in Greenwich, London. A simple Wiki search would have resolved that confusion. Not an easy mistake to make given he was wearing an England shirt only a few days ago.

Would be interested to know how that error came about

More shark journalism and shark reporting in this country. Shock.

Three for me, and two for them.

I really like Eze. He seems a humble, calm, understated guy.
Played for us as a child, got let go, then made it back all on his own, and did that today. Deserves all the plaudits he gets.
Cant wait to see how he goes from here.

We are never losing again

Hope the trossard injury isn't major. He has been amazing this season.

Yes. Trossard has properly turned into a starting option over the last 1-2 months rather than just good off the bench, I was never confident he had that in him, kudos to ajc and others in here who reckoned he was good enough to start consistently, you were definitely right based on recent evidence.
Would be a real shame if he was now sidelined.
Still, the depth continues to show through in our squad - the two options to fill in for him have both scored this morning.
26 Nov 21:54
Doesnt matter, we will beat them even with our youth team, give Arteta a 5 year contract.. I am going to say he is going to be a better coach long term then Arsene Wenger... There, called it

Biggest risks for injuries now are Rice and Zubimendi in my opinion.
I feel we can handle pretty much anything elsewhere, and in most cases we already have handled it this season. No qualms with Odegaard, Saka, Gyokeres/Havertz being out. We got a ton of good fullbacks, and Hincapie and Mosquera have shown we can deal with any injuries to Saliba or Gabriel. Raya would be a miss but I think we'd be ok with Kepa.
Norgaard has looked ok, and Merino is a great option anywhere we put him, but I would still be a bit fearful if Rice or Zubimendi went down. Particularly Rice with his all-round skillset, he's the type of player that's kind of irreplaceable.
26 Nov 21:57
Nice other results too. Spurs typically going down in a crazy one. Liverpool taking yet another beating. Inter lose, so now we're three points clear.
Quite some season so far.
If we beat Chelsea this weekend it will all be getting a bit silly.
26 Nov 21:59
Good win. Very good win.
The other results today are wild.

Cracking result. I was nervous after the first half as they looked a real threat and dominant in possession, then we took it up a gear!

Never thought we’d be top of the CL table and the only team to have won all of their matches.

This squad just keeps batting away the challenges man, they’re such a joy to watch.
26 Nov 23:03
Martinelli's goal at the end was a peach, Mandueke finding his man and catching Neuer so far out of his box was brilliance.

Queenslander 3x a year.

27 Nov 01:17
There isn’t a team that comes close to us in world football at the moment.

Three for me, and two for them.

27 Nov 04:42
Feels a big statement win. Lovely moment for Madueke too. Nice finish and feels a big moment for him to open G/A account.
Really does feel like something special could happen with this team but trying to get carried away given how agonisingly short we've fallen in the last few seasons.

Might not always look pretty but Trossard is a player with end product. Teams pay big money for it.  Feels like he could have a similar impact to Ljungberg where others might be the stars but so often he pops up with the big clutch moment.
30 Nov 16:06
Good news, Gyokeres and Jesus are back on the bench.

Bad news, Saliba has a knock. Time to see how good Mosquera and Hincapie can go together.
30 Nov 17:44
Theyve got a red and a goal. Bah. Big finish needed to this one

Average game. Scrappy as hell. Thought Rice was outstanding again and our back up centre half pairing did a pretty good job.

Fixtures now coming thick and fast with Brentford midweek and Villa on the weekend. Bare minimum 4 points needed but ideally wanting all 6.

Three for me, and two for them.

Disappointing not to get the 3 points but a draw there is still not a bad result.
Wins over the European Champions, best team in Europe and a draw away to the World Champions over the course of 7 days is a decent return.
Is it ok to score from corners again now? Can't keep up.

I went into this run of three games bricking it, so I’m delighted where we have ended up. While you always want to win with a man advantage, you have to give Chelsea credit for the way they played. Referee being so quick with early yellows also played into their hands.
03 Dec 20:14
Mosquera has just gone off injured.
We've got all this depth now but at what point does it really start to worry us, guys are going down pretty consistently.
03 Dec 20:55
Such a long season jammed packed with so many games, last season we struggled with limited quality backups, this year we have exactly what we need!

Queenslander 3x a year.

03 Dec 21:19
I’m not buying it. Now Rice is described as possibly injured. This is crazy. At the rate we’re going our depth won’t mean much.

commentary says it's strategic.
possibly injured could just mean he needs a rest.

Queenslander 3x a year.

03 Dec 21:34
I'm sure Rice needs a rest. I feel like he's played every minute for club and country all year.

good to get the win. The Bees made it tricky but we played well, even if not fully taking the game away from them.

Chat is that Saliba should be back in the next game or two, and Gabriel by Xmas. We're going to need that, and hope that Hincapie stays fit, and Mosquera's injury isn't serious.
In the forwards we're looking ok now, with Havertz still to come back, and Gyokeres easing back in thanks to Merino's form. And fullbacks are all fit.
CB is the worry, and always a worry if Rice or Zubimendi goes down.
03 Dec 22:12
Saliba’s just had a minor knock and almost made tonight’s squad. Suspect it’ll be him and Hincapie at the back away to Villa. Speaking off, they came back from 0-2 to win 4-3 away to Brighton. Going to be a tough away fixture.
03 Dec 22:13
Chelsea just lost to Leeds. Don't think they're a serious contender. They looked good against us when they were well up for it, but they seemingly don't have the chops to grind out their other results, just too inconsistent.
Man City are the real threat. They looked very good going up 5-1 yesterday, and I don't think conceding 4 against Fulham really signals a lot, they eased off and will learn from that I think.
03 Dec 22:43
Chelsea are sharke.

City can't defend and their keeper can't kick a ball to save himself.

Liverpool are going down.

Three for me, and two for them.

Villa are third now and probably our closest title challenger at the moment.

We have really struggled against them in recent seasons so this weekend will be pivotal.

Disappointing result but Villa have been our Achilles heel for a while. Hope we rest a bunch for our midweek champions league match and focus on our next premier league game.

Kinda wished that Nwaneri got a start in this game, in the middle or even outwide.
Interesting to see Norgaard at CB. I remember him being a bit slow, so I hope his timing and positioning make up for that.

Norgaard sighting!
10 Dec 20:27
Holy shark. Didn't think he was a player who could do something like that.
10 Dec 21:15
And followed up with the easiest goal he'll ever score.
10 Dec 21:19 · edited 10 Dec 21:19 · History
In danger of becoming "Open Play FC" now. Everyone else will be wanting to ban possession of the ball, shots and crosses as well as corners and throw ins soon.
10 Dec 22:14
My oh my. Just what we needed. Heavy rotation ✅
Youth debut ✅
Three goals from open play ✅
Players returning from injury ✅
Norgaard sighting ✅
Three points away from home ✅

If the CL table stays as it is, Sp*rs, Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle will all have to navigate two extra games we won’t, which should help us no end in the title race.
