nearly a good comeback, oh well. dissapointing, but hopefully we bounce back vs City this weekend. was good to see some youngsters getting valuable game time

I guess thats one way of putting it.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

well yea, how should i put it? as a supporter of a team with such high domestic and european ambitions its no surprise that the league cup comes behind other competitions as far as importance. So, naturally im dissapointed we lost. should i be devastated? i dont think so. the injuries are the major concern to come from the game tbh

still angry over the result. we are definatly missing lampard as a link to the strikers. really good to see mceachran come on. man that kid is class, looks so composed on the ball. thought alex played well. not too sure about playing mikel, essien and ramires together, had little choice with yossi and lamps injured.

anywho, marseille this wednesday should be a good test then arsenal on the weekend. doesnt get any easier

good win this morning, nice and comfortable, just what we needed before arsenal. let the foot off a bit for the first 25 mins of the 2nd half, coupled by marseille having their best spell of the game. all in all i thought everyone played well. good to win the 2 games of drogbas suspension. You'll probably stuff us won't you? Just clearing it up beforehand.

Three for me, and two for them.

Went to the game last night on a corporate ticket, so it was free but I still feel I paid too much.  Really boring game, although the Marseille fans were quality.  Chelsea fans are absolute cock jockeys.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

well i hope so, but im not so sure. guna be a very tough game, we are lacking a link from midfield to the strikers at the mo. playing mikel, essien and ramires isnt ideal but with injuries to lampard and yossi we have little choice. josh mceachran has been fantastic since stepping up to the first team, dont think it will be too long before he is given a start.

im not completely sold on ramires yet, seems to give the ball away alot which really hurt us against city.

I would love to see McEachran start. He is quality. Don't think it'll happen though.

Lampard and Yoss definitely out for this one?

yea lamps will miss this one and england game, should be back for aston villa

yossi has gone to belgrade to continue treatment on his injured calf.

no i would be very surprised if young josh got a start vs arsenal. carlo may opt to have a midfield 3 of mikel, essien and zhirkov. that result in pretty much all our play going down the left.

essien was good vs marseille at getting to the edge of the box in support of the strikers, hit the post with that nice side footed shot.

we shall just have to wait and see

Apparently the funeral was quite an occasion. Got an overwhelming amount of support.

So friggin pumped for tonights game! 4am right? I'm not sure I'll be able to sleep beforehand. City and Liverpool have games so I'll probably watch that and Ryder Cup.

Admittedly, I'd probably be similarly as excited for this game if I was a neutral. There's something about Chelsea v Arsenal for me.

That hurt.  Would genuinely like to see a Chelsea vs Arsenal game where we didn't have half a dozen out injured (not stirring and saying "we'd win if it was the case" - genuinely would be a good game).

Fantastic win for us, we played pretty well. nice goal from drogba and what a way to seal it from alex.

like we did vs marseille we absorbed wave after wave of pressure in the 2nd half without ever looking truly in danger of conceding. though chamakh did rise well to meet a few headers he could well have netted.

ramires finally put in a good performance. looked strong and quick, im sure he will only get better.

anelka should really have scored when he had that open goal, would have picked essien to score aswel when put through by zhirkov

That shot from Alex literally was unstoppable.  Nightmare for a keeper.  There was a time when Arsenal used to keep beating us with flashes of class from Henry and a fair bit of luck.  Tables have turned over the last few years.  The cock jockeys ride on...

Next big match is in November I think at Tottenham, then the big month of December when we play United, City and maybe Arsenal? I seem to remember a tough run of games around Christmas.

darn alex is out for 3 weeks. thats a pain if cos terry is not really at 100%. ivanovic can just pop into central defence and ferriera will start at right

yossi out for a few months

looking foward to lamps getting back.

getting rid of beletti, ballack, deco, cole, carvalho and bringing in yossi and ramires has left us with a smaller squad, which i like but not alot of depth. will be good to see mceachran continue to get game time though

was soooo good to see bosingwa back, with him back at full fitness we will be just as dangerous down the right as we are now down the left with cole bombing foward
Permalink Permalink

so no lampard, drogba, alex, ramires, bosingwa tomorrow, to name a few, think there is someone im forgetting. its on the artificial turf so i thnk some who have had injuries recently like essien and bosingwa arent playing to make sure they dont do further damage
