not easy at all, glad tottenham is at home, they will be going hard for 4th. also glad we dont have to go away to SJP. Everton have been going alright lately also. i tihnk newcastle at home will be the easiest of the 4

You guys need us bad this weekend. Unfortunately we're in a poor mental shape right now to win this tie... but we'll do our best I'm sure! Let's just hope we don't do something stupid like take the lead.

Just turn off the tv for the last 10 mins and save yourself the pain... my only word of advice

Watching arsenal when they're leading is the new most harrowing experience in world sport

Win vs United and you are in first place.  That would be huge if you can do it.  Would far rather you win than them.  At Old Trafford so will be a mission but the squad is good enough.

Would be absolutely remarkable if Chelsea actually manage to pull this off.

But they got the result they needed overnight, all in their hands now.

Not anymore.  However you can redeem yourselves by choking this weekend.

Fergie is looking a little nervous, having Rooney and Hernandez sitting out the Schalke match to keep them fresh for Monday.
Gunna be an awesome match, would be amazing to give United their first loss at home since ages back. Go you Blues! michaelme2011-05-04 17:07:35

f**k that was an epic disappointment. we were simply dreadful in the first half. not as bad in the second but still not good enough. drogba in particular was poor the whole game. was really expecting a lot more from us there

will be a good chance for us to rotate some players and try some new combination for the final 2 games. hopefully give mceachran a run

luiz' positioning is terrible... seen that in a lot of games now, but this morning the first that's really cost you guys... pretty expensive for a defender who is so far from the finished product... the ingredients are there though, just needs to learn and improve - perhaps ancellotti should stick with alex or ivanovic with terry in the big games?

essien/lampard/mikel were awful in the midfield - manU haven't dominated a midfield all year and they don't even try most of the time... but you would never expect them to do it so easily against such big names...

Oh well, next year will be interesting... I think spurs will fade but really could be a 5-way fight now with Man City and Liverpool looking capable of a title challenge next season...

luiz didnt look flash today at all, hopefully he improves in the off season. alex was really good, we looked alot more organised in the second half at the back. however what terry and alex lack in a defensive duo is a quick turn of speed. luiz has this but sadly he is so far out of position at times it counts for little.

very much looking forward to next year. i want to see us try a front three sturridge and kalou out wide with torres in the middle. think that work wonders if theyre given time to gel. drogba still has lots to offer the team i feel though. anelka, im not so sure. hes been quiet now for a while which is sad cos at times, even this year, hes been our best player on the pitch

As he gets older drogba might make the most awesome impact striker

sturridge and torres playing together sounds good but not sold on kalou...

thought that kakuta looked good in his earliest turn-outs last season, but havent seen much from him since - got a goal on loan last week but hasnt looked overly impressive?
Permalink Permalink
almost 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
yes kakuta definitely has the goods i think. hasn't done anawful lot at fulham but then he hasn't played a huge amount.

sturridge at bolton has been brilliant, thats 2 seasons in a row bolton have made very clever loan signings with wilshire last season. its a good club to get game time under your belt i reckon.

as with kalou, yes, a lot of people aren't sold on him. ive had my doubts in the past but im happy for him to at least come off the bench, i feel he offers something a bit different and has come up with some pretty key goals in the past

...Essian was also a disapppointment, has never really shown much after his injuries, added with Mikel and the moody Malouda our midfield was cut to bits..... ChopperHarris2011-05-12 22:49:33
