Disappointing we didn't get the win there, though as i said i would take a draw. Sounds as though we had a fair few decent chances leading up to Lampards goal so a bit gutted we couldn't convert any of those.I was wondering yesterday how Kalou fits into the team, seems his job is to give away needless late penalties. Will have to wait till i get home to see the game and see if the draw was a fair result.
Clueless Kalou....gone by January...Arsenal will take him

Watched the game last night when i got home from work and was astounded we only scored 1 goal. My word their goal keeper played amazingly. Couldn't fault Torres on his 2 chances, he did everything right but the keeper just happened to make the save. Ramires (who by the way is getting better and better every game) and Anelka could have done a little more with their chances.

Lampard had a very well taken goal. Really good to see him score, i would still prefer him in the team over Meireles at the moment i think.

Quick question, and not asking to be a prick just don't trust football media, was Lamps a sack about not coming off the bench last weekend or what? What're your thoughts as fans?

I'm not entirely sure exactly what happened there. Very little has been said from the club. There is a very good piece on Lampard on the Chelsea website at the moment.

I think the fact that Lampard wasn't used vs Swansea at home but was used vs Valencia away speaks volumes of how important the manager views him to our club.

Whilst he may have to come off the bench a bit more now i believe he still has a lot to offer and will still be a very important member of our squad this year.

agree...at 33 Lampard will be used sparingly....but will as you say play a major part in the team ChopperHarris2011-10-01 08:28:58

well lampard truly shows his worth there!! very happy with that result, thats 9 goals in our last 2 league games. sturridge was excellent, as was lampard. defense looked a bit better but still not keeping the clean sheets. as good as we were though, bolton were truly awful, especially in the first 25 mins. i was hoping we would keep hot on attack after we were 4-0 up inside 25 mins but we did let off a bit in the second half.

still very happy with that, cheered me up somewhat after the warriors

2 huge games for us after the international break. We have Everton at home and then QPR away. huge because in those 2 weeks Man Utd play Liverpool then Man City so its a big chance for us to possibly pick up some points on the front runners. we really cant afford to not get the 6 points from those 2 games.

I must say though, i do prefer all the spotlight being on the Manchester clubs instead of us

The Bolton KEEPER....what a shocker he had,.... but Chelsea do tend to " stop " playing when we get a few goals up....love to see them really go at a team when up by that score as on Sunday.

first season under Carlo we were a bit more ruthless, 7-2, 7-1, 7-0 and 8-0.

but yea at 4-0 i was thinking to myself if we could keep that up this could hit double figures

couldn't agree more, that cross to Ramires was gold. Bring on Genk and QPR!

Genk tomorrow, 3 points please.

we are unbeaten in our last 24 group stage fixtures at home with 18 wins and 6 draws. our last loss being that horrible 2-0 deafeat to besiktas back in october 2003 when geremi and makelele seemed determined to score from distance

saw the game, absolute scorcher from meireles. he played well, lovely ball to torres at the start when he then hit the post, and a very good cross for torres' second goal.

both torres goals were expertly taken, his first 2 touches for his first were sublime. and that header was really well placed.

genk weren't great though and were missing alot of top players but still have to get the job done!

onwards and upwards now, QPR this weekend, away. have to pick up 3 points with the manchester derby this weekend

not much to do but laugh, that was one of the worst referee performances i have ever seen

really proud how we came back in the second half with only 9 but we never really had a shot after those decisions in the first half

Two feet up tackle was an automatic red, taking out the striker as the last man is a red two. Second half the hoops played like sh*t but for the first thirty we matched and some. Amazingly our entire squad cost less than a quarter what your great suspended striker cost you guys.

9 cards, only your goalie and sturridge were not booked! Great display of self discipline - not. Your guys self distructed.

West London is ours, stay out! Move to Earls Court, it's closer to your real roots if you know your Chelsea history!

the penalty was soft, helgusun went down fairly easily. the ref lacked consistancy too which is really what annoyed me, luiz should have won a penalty near the end when he was manhandled in the box. you either give both or none, doesn't make sense to just give one.

the bosingwa red card should have been yellow imo. it was debatable as to wether he was the last man as terry was there aswel. there was a shirt tug but if thats the basis for a red card im surprisesd most games dont finish 6 v 6.

the drogba red card was a fair call though, cant go diving in 2 footed like, similar to torres vs swansea.

im not sure why its amazing that your entire squad cost a quarter of torres. thats just world football, get used to it.

everton tomorrow in the carling cup. torres back available, cole, drogba and bosingwa all banned. the team will be pretty stacked with some youngsters/fringe players.

Yeah looking forward to seeing how the new blood stacks up, it'll be good if Lukaku gets a chance to prove himself.
I can't see this game on the MySky tv guide anywhere? Anyone else having any luck, or otherwise know of any reliable stream sites?

Saw the highlights tonight and thought both cards and the pen was correct.

For the up-nth time, there is no law about last man.  it is about clear goal scoring opportunity. Which I believe there was.  Terry was miles away.

Pen was just stupid defending.  Striker facing away from goal. Only has himself to blame.

AGREED! :) Chelsea only have themselves to blame. Putting themselves in those positions in the first place. QPR got Chelsea rattled after saying all week that this derby was going to be a walk in the park (I was confident of a drawn tbh). COME ON YOU RRRRRRRRssss!

trouble i have with the penalty is that luiz was fouled just on the edge of the box just before he gave away the penalty, similar foul which wasn't given.

then later on in the game we had as strong a penalty claim turned down by the referee.

poor, inconsistent refereeing

John Terry is not included in the Chelsea squad. Probably because he doesn't like the black away kit.

Its no longer a problem.
