Would be quite prestigious to be the first ever winners of the Europa League...

Still won it more than any other English club anyway, although I may be mistaken.

To be honest, we don't deserve to go through for conceding late to Lyon... TWICE. We couldn't expect them to do us a favour and they came close to equalising. Pretty hard to swallow but completely expected!

Getting tired of Chelsea/Barca/Porto/ hoping for finals against United, anyway....

Ngog has been superb. Stevie pretty quiet, Kuyt awful and Aurelio just solid. But man, our defence is so nervous! Lets get a 2nd, get Aquilani on and all eyes on Florence. Allez Lyon!

He has been poor for most of this season, to be honest. He was great last season, though.

Time for a clean out and start with your manager that has lived on false hope and fan patience for probably the last 5 years.

Rafa > Anything. Obviously! Sadly, for those fans who want to get rid of Rafa at least, we can't even afford it! I'm happy to keep Rafa. We're improving (albeit, this season has been awful!) but we simply don't have the money to get rid of Rafa and then have the patience of another 5 year plan with another manager, who has less money than Sunderland! I fully support Rafa anyway, regardless of this season and how people turn on him- or indeed how he "manipulates" the fans. Yip, you've got it: In Rafa We Trust.

Ignoring what United fans think, Liverpool are a big club but that have not delivered nor lived up to their potential for far too long. Decisions and responsibilities must start at the top.

Then Yanks Out! Yeah, Rafa makes some bad decisions- why not bring Aquilani on etc? But so does everyone. I wonder how United would be if they'd sacked Mr Ferguson at the start of his reign. And Rafa has done a f**k load better than he did. For every Josemi or Keane, there's a Torres or Mascherano. We made some decent purchases in Momo, Bellamy, Crouch etc. I'm loving Johnson at this stage. I adore our 4-2-3-1 formation, but it's never going to look as good when there's no Stevie or Torres consistantly playing there. Rafa has built a solid spine (especially when Xabi was there) he has Yossi in scintillating form, Johnson and young Argentine called Insua who is slowly learning. So even the width is improving immensely. Our defence is all over the place at the moment, but that's just the form (of the past few months!). Over Rafa's time we have generally been solid at the back. He made a great purchase in Reina. Our first XI is as good as any in the world, bar none. Our squad is thin, yip, so there's room for improvement. But we don't have enough money to afford have 20mil quid players sitting on the bench. We have room for Voronin! Rafael Benitez; the right man for Liverpool.

In my opinion, anyway.

It's all well and good calling for the Managers head but who would replace Rafa right now?
I'm for keeping him at the moment but some of his decision makings are rather baffling. Maybe it's the pressure and stress of player injuries, backroom politics etc but it needs to be sorted first. When the players see the Manager is in control they will follow.

Hicks and Gillett make Ashley look like an amateur.  The way they're going, the Reds will be starting the '14 season in the Championship as "McDonalds Liverpool".

I don't even want to speculate on what Anfield will end up being called.

Oh I don't know.  The 'pyul are still in the EPL aren't they?

Haven't really followed the Hicks and Gillett angst but would find it hard to see them top what Cashley has done to the Toon@some-open-space-in-Tyneside

Sell Torres to make up for the loss in CL TV revenue imo.

God. Some of you guys are hilarious. Rafa is completely calm, which is exactly what you want. We didn't set the world on fire today, but a clean sheet and a win are something we can build on (and haven't had for a while!). We got knocked out because of previous games, not this one.

Yeah, let's sell Torres to Real Madrid. Actually, shouldn't joke about it. Could f**king happen! And no, you're wrong, it doesn't suck to be a Liverpool fan anytime. I wouldn't swap some of those European memories- Madrid, Milan, Barca, Inter, Chelsea (twice); hell, even the heroic 4-4 last year. I love this football club like no other. And whether we're in the Europa League or the Championship (!) it is in my blood and I'll love this club forever, and I'll support them.

And nobody can replace Rafa right now. If not for the simple fact that we can't afford it! And everybody hates the Yanks more than they dislike Rafa (for those that even do).

Liverpool Champion's League, or no Champion's League.

FACT.

Okay, rant over.
