Lmao, I'd like to see a Draw in the Arsenal vs Chelsea game, purely for selfish reasons of course. Pretty much the same reason your backing the Pool!

Likely line-up...

Reina
Arbeloa-Carragher-Skrtel-Aurelio
Kuyt-Xabi Alonso-Mascherano-Babel
Gerrard
Torres

Six hours from kick-off.....guts churning - I love these games!

Mascherano needs his brain checking.  What a moron.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Have to agree LGM - just stupid....and now he's put his team firmly in it.  1-0 down at Old Trafford - you need all 11 players.

As for their goal - Wes Brown?  He never scores. Typical United.

This is embarrassing - we can't even get the ball.

I was hoping Liverpool would nick this one but it's not looking good. To be honest thought guys. Two of the top four teams and this games is as boring as hell. I'm watching as I update my own website which is more exciting. Sunderland Aston Villa was a more exciting game sorry to say.

Ronaldo still diving about. Actually I think the ref has done well in this game.

What an absolute farce. How can you say learn from Cole. Cole slid in hard deserved red got yellow and turned his back and still didn't get sent off. I guess you mean all the scrutiny after the fact.

Still, he hardly even argued and got a red card (ok second yellow) going over and talking, no raising of arms, no yelling, no gestures...Same for Torres, yellow for nothing. Can't believe those commentators going on about Rio getting a yellow after he kicked the ball away well after the whistle, are you blind???

Brown was climbing all over Skrtel in the opening goal too. But still, played like absolute dross though today, it could've been more if Reina was worse, or Rooney was decent.

Ah well, after an interesting curtain raiser it's not time for kick off in the main game.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Mascherano was silly to trot across to get involved - but it seems a bit naff that the whole reffing culture gets changed in one high profile game in the 'middle' of the season (even in the middle of one weekend!)

aha  brown out jumped him, skrtel got beaten clean, and rooney is decent, even if he's lost his confidence in front of goal, notice who put in the final pass for goal 1 and 3.

Mascherano, what a fool, no more can be said, no excuses, what he did was place idiotic. i watched him for the first half an hour and thought he aint gonna last the whole game, didnt even finish the half. the torres yellow was interesting, but mascherano was no where near what happened, and must have thought he was important enough to go over, maybe his price tag went to his head.. who knows.

Well I'm still filthy about this.

Firstly Mascherano should not have got his first yellow, it was a nothing challenge.

Secondly, only at f**king Sold Trafford can Torres get booked for getting fouled by Ferdinand during a dangerous counter attack. What the hell was the Ref thinking? Ferdinand barged over Torres because of the obvious danger, then booked Torres for asking the question? your taking the piss.

Mascherano should never have got involved, but at that point you've got to wonder if the ref is going to put on his f**king manure colours.

What a complete waste of time, and to think I thought we may have a chance of getting a fair game at Old Trafford this time.

I thought manure looked the better side in the first half, but we'll never know if we could have turned it around in the 2nd half because once again Man Utd get a highly controversial call go their way in a top 4 match.

Mascherano deserved to go for that tyrade he unleashed on the ref. What he did can't be defended by anyone.

Three for me, and two for them.

sigh it was barely a controversial call, but ofcourse u have to see it that way to get something ut of the game. maybe u should be happy we are not doing very well infront of goal, or u could have seen 6 go past u.

on the first yellow, again i don't see how its so conroversial. u can't expect to dive in so quickly and so late, no hope of getting the ball, and take out a player, studs or no, and this is probably how cards should be used, otherwise players will just dive in with no worry of retribution. as for the 2nd, no excuse, as buffon said

What are you kidding? what tirade, he ran over and talked no gestures or anything. This was because somehow Torres got booked for getting fouled.

This happens many times in a normal game (players asking what the card or foul was for), how can suddenly the rules be enforced so harshly with no rule change?

no he did it 3 times and he was aggressive, the way he acted he deserved to be sent, he had no right to go over in that situation. he threw his toys out of the cot and got sent for it, and screwed liverpool as a result.. there is no justification

So that makes it alright then? Cause it's not in the rule book? Spose we should get rid of kicking the ball out when someone's injured too, or adding onto that kicking the ball back in a similar situation to show sportsmanship.

He carried on after like a spoiled brat who'd been told he won't get his $10,000 worth of pocket money this week from mummy.

Hahaha, that rich, considering Utd are the masters of surrounding the ref with Neville, Scholes and Ferdinand all spitting in his face when a call doesn't go there way, they've been doing it for years and getting away with it. There's been no change in the rules, but when the opportunity arose at old traffford to send and opposition player off the ref didn't hesitate.

o what, u mean just like when Gerard and co surrounded him when he sent off mascherano, chelsea are the masters of that particular art. and please, mascherano acted like a spolit little child who just got told he couldnt have any candy.

Ferdinands tackle on Torres was a blatant professional foul and should have been a yellow card, Torres was just asking the question why and he gets a yellow card what the F..k.

its a another case of Man Who being looked after by the refs.

That ref wouldn't have looked out of place in the serie A

rafa was quoted as saying that all masch asked was why did Torres get a card? The rules are so random, if he gets a yellow for saying that, then everyone else should get a yellow for talking to the ref. But masch should have been more careful. And Man-U did dominate us quite a bit. What a depressing day

Its the manner he did it, he was about to punch the referee by the looks of it. What an arrogant prick.A bit of lip reading tells you he wasn't merely asking. Shame liverpool can't play fotball and have to resort to such petty tactics. I used to support them, but think i'll support man united now. Notice how roney didnt dive either? Mascherano can walk alne, that was a disgrace.

Mascheranos' first yellow was b.s. but I got the feeling that he was going to be made an example of after the way he was carrying on to the line ref, and the ref throughout the first half.

Why the f*ck he got involved, I don't know. The foul on Torres and his resulting yellow was sh!te, but Mascherano should have stayed well clear. Still think it was balls giving him another, when the ref knew the first yellow was b.s and knew that he'd be walking after a second. A talking to would have been sufficient, but the pompos f*ck just reached straight for the card.

Stink as the we had to pay for Coles f*cking antics. Even though the Scum looked the better team, we'll never know. Never had a chance after Mascherano went.

Oh, and beaver...you can F*CK OFF

Xabi made an effort to stop Mascherano getting to the ref, but Masch pushed him away and kept going.  Dumb.  And he kept on protesting after he got the red.  Sorry, but no sympathy and he ruined any chance we had of competing in that game.  The first 15 minutes of the second half were embarrassing - we couldn't even get the ball.

I think I'd speak for 99.9% of fans of any club when I say that even if they lost every single game they ever played, I'd still support them.
