Swansea are paying $2.40 to beat Crystal Palace at the TAB this weekend. Based on how they played against us on Monday that is a steal.

good odds for a reason.  Black and white yes they should win but they are playing valencia away tomorrow and then palace at home on monday our time.  Imo palace didn't do too badly against united and might suprise a few teams this season.

Just messed up Valencia in a big way I reckon they'll be on fire.

Hope you put some coin on them mate!

Anyone see this morning's game? I've yet to see highlights or read a report.

While it's always disappointing to lose I'm not particularly upset that we're out of the running for the League Cup now. For me this year is all about the league and one fewer distraction is a positive. Onwards and upwards I say.

Watched the game.

If you cant beat them eat them.

Wasnt impressed to miss the 1st 40 seconds coverage of the 2nd half and they cut to the game just as the scum scored.

Disappointed to be out of the cup especially after conceding another goal from a corner.  3-5-2 formation from what I could gather with hendo at rightwing back.  He better watch out he's becoming a utility man to rodgers because of his work rate and will end up never holding down a regular spot and miss growing in one position.  Early thoughts on sakho?  No agger in the squad at all.......did rodgers rush him back to soon for the southampton game?

I think youve got that formation wrong. They were playing 4 at the back - Enrique,Sakho, Skrtel,Toure

Good to see Suarez and Sturridge linking up like that for the 2nd & 3rd goals. Our strip though, oh dear!

Lack of appeals from Sunderland too. Surprising. Pretty blasé reaction from sturridge to sell it.

Damn straight we will take it!  The beach ball incident still grates me.  Johnson tweeted about it at half time
"Got to be happy with 2 nil at half time. First goal maybe handball but even still it would only even out the beach ball incident "

" None of this success will surprise the quotient of Messianic Liverpudlians who still track Benitez’s progress. There was a table full of them waiting for him in London’s Melia White House Hotel when Napoli arrived there for this summer’s Emirates Cup. The Spaniard’s scheduled five minutes with them had stretched to 20 when one of his players was deputed to call him to dinner."

Yeah he has said all along that he would love to take over the reins at Liverpool again.. I can't see it in the near future but may love it at some point. Heard two rumours last night....one that Suarez will sign a new contract and the other that he will go in January....it will seriously never end

i think madrid will make a bid in jan as benzema has been sharkhouse for a while now and Suarez wouldnt be cup tied which is HUGE

Could see this happening for sure. Not being cup tied probably makes him one of the world's most valuable players come January. I suspect whether or not he goes will depend on where we're sitting in the league at that point.

Also not a surprise that he might sign a new contract. Probably suits both parties to clear up the release clause one way or the other after that whole summer debacle.

Will be interesting to see the formation with no Lucas this weekend.

Does anyone on here drive the Previa (I think) I've seen driving around the Northland area with LFC x5 on the number plate?

New job for King Kenny at Anfield as a non-executive director on the board.

I don't really know what that is but well appointed anyway!

Great 1st half at the attacking end. The defence is still shaky though.

Will Moses ever score?

Scored in his first game vs Swansea. So yes, probably.

Hendo filled that role immensely!  69/75 passes completed (92% accuracy), won 7 out of 7 tackles & recovered the ball 12 times.  He worked his socks off.

Thought Hendo to the middle would be the case. That kid has become quality! Only one of Kenny's signings. So impressed with his effort and now he he has ability to match work rate. Good times!

I mean Northland the suburb in Wellington, just to clarify. I saw it going down Glenmore street by the botanical gardens on Friday.

Pleased King Kenny is on the board, to be honest that's probably the role he should have had all along.

Good win this morning, good to see the top of the table again! This Arsenal clash in a few weeks is going to be massive.

OK win. Should have scored 5 + goals.  Need to score more 2nd half goals !!

Na, just need the win....which we got! Things are looking good huh lads. Coutinho back in 3 weeks too. We could be quite ruthless with him in there.

We don't offer much off the bench though do we? After a great pre-season Aspas has drifted away. Hopefully it is just a settling time

After all the early season hype about how well Coutinho and Sturridge were clicking, and now all the hype about how well Sturridge and Suarez are clicking, I can't wait to see those three together.

Brilliant news that King Kenny is back. Should never have been treated like he was.

Great to have Suarez back. Whatever you think about him, the lad can play football. Got to be happy with the start we've made. Some big fixtures coming up though. Think we have Arsenal and Everton away in November?

Correct re Arsenal and Everton........that looks like nothing thou compared to the 15th - 28th December!  15th spurs away, 21st cardiff at home, 26th man city away and then  28th chelsea away! Hope there is some xmas cheer in there!

^^ this is a good read....It does go to show how important unpredictable players are. I wonder if this has been a concious decision by Wenger and Rodgers to attack differently?
