Disappointed that we couldn't beat 10 men over 45 min. Slack defending over the second goal conceded.  Definitely looked a bit leggy from internationals.  West brom at home next.

It's the old Yellow fever derby this weekend vs the Arse, although some of the old Liverpool fans have disappeared from this thread. Predictions?

We haven't played another top team from memory..well man u, but they are a mid-table team....Will be interesting to see if we have really progressed.

Also, Some amazing goals by us this weekend, looking so lethal at times. Coutinho back too which is scary although can't see where he will fit into that team.

First time I've seen them play really well all game this season. Really enjoyed it . Jr was in raptures. He thinks Suarez is the ducks nuts - I'm on record here as saying he's a complete cock but at the moment , I'm glad he's our complete cock.

STurridge previously always failed to impress me- but at the moment he's playing very very well. Good pace , thumping shot and at the moment , can't stop scoring.Beautiful goal against Brom.

Rodgers big problem ( for me) had been the structure of his midfield. No Coutinho has meant using Moses in that number 10 role; a role which he isn't really suited to.But hard to argue against the setup from the weekend. Leiva had his best game of the season so I don't think you drop him to bring back Coutinho.BUt who? I think Coutinho is too good to leave out but hard to drop anyone after the weekend. Start him off the bench?

Where is the game against the Arse? if at our place , 2-1 to us. If at Emirates , 2-2. My physio is a big Arse-man , be great to wind him up a bit!!

Suarez and Sturridge really firing at the moment.  Probably a draw vs Arsenal this week-end ....

My guess is that hendo will make room for couthino and gerrard will move back into cm/cdm after playing cam on the weekend.  Or maybe because of the result on the weekend it will be a similar team and start with couthino on the bench?  Hendo's work rate is superb thou and he wins the ball back quite a lot too.  What i've found interesting is agger riding the pine after looking like he was in favor over Skirtl for so long.  Don't really know what to make of that.  Cissikho I'm really not impressed by he just looks plain awkward. Jose any day of the week.

Yeah I think Couthino will be on the bench to start but if not, Moses to make room.

Congratulations to our owners also. The Red Sox just won the World Series. Worst to first, hopefully a good omen for us!

Feeling pretty excited about the game....it's actually real big for us isn't it with all the hoopla last year about not being able to beat a top 4 team. I'm hoping that in the second half Coutinho comes on and three of our stars reek havoc!

Also I really want Agger back in the team....not sure for who, I just bought an Agger top and don't want him to leave!!

Terrible performance from most players and Rodgers that only got worse in the second half with the change of formation.  Far too many average performances.  Really missing Jose and Johnson today.  If you are going to bring Couthino on and try to get the best out of him don't put him at left mid!

We just outplayed you. Simples.

Three for me, and two for them.

Yeah, outplayed well and truely (truley?). I only hope we were off rather than it being a sign of a massive gap in class.
I have to say that Stevie G looked below par. Bit of a worry if he isn't going to be able to keep his spot. Would BR drop him?

Few tough games coming up too.

I still believe!!

Awful performance from pretty much everyone against Arsenal. Cissokho absolutely atrocious and if we could terminate his loan on the back of that, I would. Outclassed overall though, not a surprise. I'm mostly disappointed that we didn't even make Arsenal get out of second gear.

We are still far away from Arsenal, City, Chelsea, Spurs... Even United. In saying that, if we want to break into the top four, we don't necessarily have to win games like that. Would've been nice like, but I expected nothing less than a loss in that game. Our midfield, and probably our defence, isn't good enough to win those type of games. We need to just keep beating the teams we should  beat. Surely there's a case for Agger to get back into that defence now. We've let in 7 in 5 games without him or something, without a clean sheet.

The derby in a couple of weeks is going to be massive. We didn't beat them last year, and they look much better under Martinez this year. They also have Lukaku who slaughtered us last year.

Rodgers struggles against the bigger teams, no doubt.

I think with johnson and enrique fit it wouldve been much different... no offence to the fanagan kid, he actually did quite well, but if johnson was there gibbs and arteta would've been very wary of the offensive threat - with flanagan starting they were both prepared to leave him unattended at times and go for ball-wins higher up the pitch. The less said about cissokho the better, he had his pants pulled down all day. Toure also bought back the memories with a cupla brainfarts. I know he's done well for you guys but I always thought he was half the player without sol campbell alongside him. Everyone said it was him or gallas at arsenal and thats why we sold him, but I thought it was more the fact he sucks in the air, and we couldnt carry him in that respect with another short CB alongside.

It does seem madness that agger isnt starting, has to be attitude or the fact he wanted to go to barca (is that true?). He's just too good to be on the bench.

Na there was Barca and Monaco interest but he wasn't keen (allegedly). I think we will see him back in the starting 11 soon.

I would be surprised if many teams could handle the way Arsenal played that game, time will tell though.

Johnson does offer something else in attack that Flanagan doesn't so maybe with a full strength team, we will be able to maintain a top 4 spot.

All fair comments, Paul. Particularly regarding GJ and Enrique, would definitely have helped us. And agree Tyler, this Arsenal team have been fantastic this year. Just wish we'd given a better account of ourselves, wasn't expecting anything from the game.

Regarding Agger, Rodgers is strange with how he treats the players. Makes Agger vice-captain, then drops him. Drops Skrtel all of last season, then plays him this year.

Nice to see Coutinho back out there too.

Just got to keep going. We can get into the Top Four, but it's a big ask.

Hoping we can pump Fulham this weekend. I wonder if Agger will be back starting this week, I wouldn't be surprised.

Couldn't watch unfortunately but sounds like Stevie G had a blinder and a welcome return for Agger and Johnson. Great way to bounce back from last week.

Yeah, we asked and got Agger back!! Sweet.

Cissokho seems to be copping it pretty hard. Enrique back this week so i imagine he will jump right in.
Have still got a lot of tough game sto play huh? feeling quite positive but will wait till after christmas.

Wonder if new players will come in January.

Thats because he isn't really any good! Another in a long line of crap left backs we've tried. Konchesky anyone? Dossena? I have to go back to Riise or Bjornbye to think of any who were OK. Our current best left back is the England right back! Not sure how good Robinson will turn out to be ; Enrique is too inconsistent for me. He can be an absolute beast but then turns in the odd game that makes me think he's more of a princess.
Hard to know what to make of the Fulham game. Fulham are absolute shark at the moment so not quite sure how to take the result. But , encouragingly , Gerro looked a bit better today. Hendos pass to Suarez was inch perfect as well. But I do agree re Agger , Tyler. Rodgers got that one bang on.
New players? Hope so; we're still a bit short on depth in  some areas. If they're not going to give Morgan a go , I'd like to see another striker added. Another midfielder with an attacking mindset would be useful as well. Jr has his dossier all prepared ; I'll find out who he wants. He told me at the start of the year that  " Sissoko is crap , Dad. Don't know why we want him".

Got sent this yesterday. Made me LOL.

Liverpool fans are calling their current strike force SAS- Suarez and Sturridge,

I'd like to propose a similar alternative for Man U fans : Wellbeck , Anderson , Nani,  Kagawa, Evra, Rooney, Smalling

Thank goodness Sturridge scored that after a crap week of watching the all whites and nix.  If only Allen scored that sitter while we were 2-1 up I think it would have killed the game off.  Flanno had a superb game at left back, I did feel he may have been exposed especially being a derby game. Mignolet was outstanding worthy man of the match.  How Mirallas was not given a red card after Dowd seemed to be taking advice from somewhere I will never know.  Love to know what the liverpool physio said when he came on.

That nagging doubt that we can't match it against the tougher teams starts to creep in again. Hopefully we have made progress.

Away vs Hull, Home to Norwich and Westham. Hoping for some good points over the next 3 games.

And....Sturridge out for 6 weeks. Tough start to the week

And Rodgers coming out and saying how thin the squad is....... Hmmmmm how's borini, aspas, Alberto going? Rodgers took hull way too lightly imo. Tried to be clever and do a bit of squad jiggling with a mid week game coming up and got found out. I thought hull did a very good job on us and especially Suarez. And Moses what on gods given earth was that? I'd give the boys an earful if they tried that on a Saturday let alone in the prem league!
