Ngoggy! Enjoyable second half. We should only play second halves from now on.

Bring on Manure!

In some bad news. Hicks is trying to re-finance his loans to keep his mits on Liverpool??? Please God no

Greedy greedy bastards. Looks like they are going to hold out for an "appropriate" amount of money before they sell up.

It can't happen. Don't they see that? No one will be willing to pay top dollar in the shape we're in. It's exactly what he did to Texas Rangers and they ended up in administration. It's a lose lose situation for everyone if Hicks refinances. Worst case scenario stuff.

On the flip side LFC have Slaughters and May for Lawyers who are legal top dogs. They rebuffed the last refinance deal in June. If there is a legal way to block they'll find it but it'll be difficult to block if Hicks can pay off RBS. RBS will have no say if the money fronts up on the 11th.

The ownership debacle just frustrates me, let focus on the scum for a bit.

      Reina
Johnson Carra Agger Konchy
    Lucas
       Meireles
Cole           Jova
      Gerrard
    Torres

I'm picking Poulsen and Lucas will start since Meireles started today. I just hope not.

or (to really mix it up)

          Reina
Kelly Carra Agger Konchy
    Lucas
       Gerrard
Johnson           Pacheco
            Cole
        Torres

Two friday questions....how did Meireles play and  would you rather wear long sleeve (Babel) or short sleeve? Everyone else

I'm also fairly sure that any extension needs the approval of the board for any major decision? It seems that they are constantly being out voted as RBS has forced Liverpool into kicking off the yank friendly people. Probably more so  if Gillet wants out

Nice result. The grandparents were over, so I couldn't watch the game this morning, but will watch it later tonight!

Good news if it's true!

Purslow and Broughton might actually be doing something right: Liverpool reject Hicks power play

Yeah, sounds good!

Lucas scored a cracking goal last night- great for the lad. Didn't think we played tooooo badly, although saying that in the safety of knowing the result. Lots of nice football and Cole was brilliant. Really like Meireles. Kelly look solid too! Ngog didn't play that well, tbh, but scored twice, so can't argue with that.

Lots of nice tidy stuff- especially given it wasn't exactly our first team. Onwards and upwards!

Bring on yer Manchester United...!

One thing you guys forget is that under UK company laws the board must vote for whats in the best interest of the shareholders, not the club. The June rebuff was a special case thats why legal advise was sought. If Hicks and Gillet want top dollar for the club, thats what the board must aim for, despite what the Liverpool fans want.

i wanna see 3-3 tonight with multiple red cards
19 Sep 11:33 · edited 09 Sep 05:01
Hope Torres regains some form for this one. Yeah, 3-3 or 4-4 with a few screamers and some controversy would be nice.
19 Sep 13:19 · edited 09 Sep 05:01
hooooorrrrible maarking nando
19 Sep 13:25 · edited 09 Sep 05:01
bleh... we have been so average. It's weird our number 4 is in the hole and Gerrard is DM, and I'm pretty sure Maxi has done absolutely nothing the whole game
19 Sep 13:27 · edited 09 Sep 05:01
but I suppose maxi has done more than nando... he's on negative contribution atm
19 Sep 13:27 · edited 09 Sep 05:01
Credit has to go to Konchesky too, hiding behind Reina when he was supposed to be on the near post (and would have saved it).

19 Sep 13:48 · edited 09 Sep 05:01
Disgracefully average.

Embarrasing really...

dumb

we were pretty average tho, it could have been worse, at least we scored 2
19 Sep 14:33 · edited 09 Sep 05:01
Things could be worse... we could have players like Nani in our team...

On the real though I have had enough of Skrtel,he is not good enough to be playing at a big club, how many centre backs are there around that are that tall but are hopeless in the air and just generally average at everything else.

Paul had Nani in his back pocket the whole time he was on, good to finally see some good defending at left back. He offered very little going forward, didn't seem to know what to do with the ball past halfway.

The thing that annoyed me the most tonight/this morning was the commentators constantly going on about Torres. There is absolutely no way that Rooney played better, no one even commented once on how crap he played.
19 Sep 15:07 · edited 09 Sep 05:01
The third goal was a result of how crap Reina is playing at the moment.
It was a lobbed ball 6mts out not driven in with pace any decent goal keeper should clean that up.
Defenders are in the team to defend, shape up or go to the reserves.
