A new day.

Yep, I think that will be key. Get H&G out of the picture, Bank is in control yet 'not in administration' (come on you legal beagles) and quickly complete the sale of club with said 'interested party'. All easy on paper really. Might as well send the kids out to do the job...

Its guna take a while for roy to shape the squad the way he wants it. He got left with some real drap players he needs to get rid of...

I will take (very) slight comfort in the Arsenal and Chelski results.

Dirk kuyts first touch and passing are average when hes on form, when hes rusty well....

I'll give Dirk a bit of slack as he's been out. But for me, Poulsen shouldn't be starting and why is Meireles playing as an Attack mid/right winger?

Agger is not a left back and continues to look out of place there too

Poulsen is just such an average footballer...

Yea thats why i didnt want to be to harsh on him, also though even if kuyt is playing bad, who the f**k we guna bring on that would be an improvement....??? maxi? lol

Actually i was impressed with skrtel today, he defended well and showed intention to try and bring the ball out of defence instead of just hoofing (he's still gash in the air though)

Yanks out.

Steve Bruce's comments Torres and Liverpool acted in unsportsmanship a load of bollocks, first he was the biggest cheat as a player two Turner played the ball, that means the ball is live so what if Turner did not see that his keeper was 20yards away unlucky Bruce your player cocked it up and Torres and Kuyt where in their right to score. What about the Beach Ball that was not sportsmanship but you did not say anything then,

Agree with that. Poulsen is rubbish. Utter, utter, rubbish. Konchesky is terrible too, but as you say, Agger isn't a fullback. Meireles couldn't get into the game out there and didn't offer us very much.

Also agree with ther comment about Skrtel, thought he was our best player and had a really strong game.

What a terrible game. Lucky Stevie scored out of nowhere, cos I couldn't see a goal for us coming. Our midfield was non-existant for large periods. We just got bossed all game- except for the first 5 minutes and the last 20 where Sunderland kind of lost their heads.

Referee was really bad too. Not as an excuse, he just didn't have control of the game at all.

Torres continues to get no decent service, although thought he looked better today.

Fml.

Massively disagree.  He clearly isn't playing the ball for the free kick.  He is passing on the responsibility to take the freekick to his GK.

It disoent matter what he was trying to do, what matters is how he did it...

PGMO statement
The Professional Game Match Officials have issued a statement regarding Liverpool v Sunderland.

PGMO has reviewed the first goal scored between Liverpool and Sunderland and believe that the correct decisions were made.

According to the Laws of the Game, having stopped the game for any infringement the referee is required to "indicate the restart of the match".

In practice, in the majority of cases, referees indicate for the re-start by gesturing to players to take the kick. These gestures can be minimal.
CORRECTLY DETERMINED
For the more important 'ceremonial' free-kicks, which also involve control of the defensive wall, referees can indicate by using the whistle.

However, there is no requirement by Law to use the whistle to make the indication.

The ball is then in play when it is kicked and moves. So, in this case, the ball was in play as soon as it was kicked by a Sunderland player.

Also, the Laws state that the free-kick must be taken from the place where the infringement occurred. Again, in this case, the referee correctly determined that the free-kick was played from the right place.

Terrible sportsmanship. Ridiculous call from the ref, should have blown the whistle the second he saw Torres start running.

Where was the sportsmanship from the FatHeads after the ball hit a beachball and veered into the net?

Crest on the ball is irrelevant, what a stupid comment

Next game at the ROF I'm going to throw 50 beach balls in to the box every time the opposition gets close. That way the ref will have to pause the game nearly every time!

What?

You were talking about sportsmanship, unless you werent reffering to the players but the supporters...??

either way it was only a kid that hit the beachball onto the pitch, i dont really think he knew what he was doing...

You can't blame the Sunderland players for the previous beach ball event.  It was the fault of the ref for awarding the goal.

But in the this mornings incident, it is the fault of both the players and the ref.  I would be embarassed if I was a Liverpool supporter tbh.

Roy seems to love Poulsen though doesn't he? Wouldn't be surprised if he was playing but I'm pretty sure he isn't up to playing in our team.

Pretty sure the date is now the 11th. A number of UK journalists had it confirmed by RBS.

And I suppose that we will still have to wait a further few weeks before we learn anything anyway.
