Manchester United (Part 1)

Curious to know what United fans thought of Luiz's body-check of Rooney given Rooney's getting away scot-free with a nasty elbow vs Wigan.  Should both have been punished or just Luiz?

Also, loved Fergie and Rooney raging over it.  Didn't they see the hypocrisy?

Obviously the talk today but seriously, do you expect SAF to come out and rage at the FA about his own players?

While the elbow was an borderline assault, Luiz changed the game.

Both have one thing in common: the FA are incompetent

I guess there is a difference between the two incidents. Ref said he saw the Rooney elbow and dealt with it appropriately (his view). The ref missed the blatant foul on Rooney so more a complaint that the ref completely missed the incident.

Still 4 points clear.

Can't really make an comments about the game as I have not seen any of it. Wife rang me to say penalty was a joke. Will watch the replay.

Tell your wife I've found her other eye. The penalty was 100% fair, and the players didn't even really protest at all.

She has no reason to be one eyed.

Mind you, I've heard replays show he started falling before he actually made contact. The amount of sh*t Rooney and Ronny have gotten for this in the past... we ought to be dishing it.

One thing's for sure though.  I, and I suspect many others, would hate United far less if Rooney left.  He's not world class but he is a horrible, cynical, nasty little man with a bad attitude.

EDIT: And steelo, you aren't fooling anybody.  We all know Fergie's complaint wasn't that the foul wasn't seen by the ref.  If the ref saw it and waved play on there'd have been the same reaction.  I don't know how we could know for sure that Fergie knows the ref and his linesmen didn't see it.

There is no doubt that Liverpool were the better side on the day and deserved the three points.
The three goals we conceded were very poor defending.
The main difference was that one team wanted to win more that the other.Can't think of any Utd players that even came close to performing at their normal best.Evra had as bad a game as I have ever seen and Michael C, well how he got an extended contract is beyond belief.Utd were far too deep and could have played for another two hours and would not have won.
The only thing that was very disappointing was that Carragher did not get a red card for his thuggish tackle.
And for all the plonkers that thought that Nani was acting should get on to www.epltalk.com and see what that animal did.
He has always been a thug. I know that just about every team has one, but that does not make it OK.
We are still 3 points clear and that other mob have 12 games left and 8 of them are away, while we have 11 games, we have 7 at home.
At least it will be an exciting finish to the season.
