Pretty stoked with that after being 2-0 down. There is always that optimism there though that games can be brought out of the fire no matter what the situation.

Chelsea owes us so many dodgy calls I couldn't care less about the penalty.

Torres and Drogba both cheating scum.

Good away win over the Blue Waffles. 1-0 makes for a good second leg match though.

Fuck this stupid game

Lucky they have the extra officials in CL matches to get the big calls right.

I thought that a draw would have been a fair result.
Chelsea are not playing as well as they were last year and apart from missing a sitter never really looked like they were going to score. Lampard he nowhere the player he was and looked pretty average.
Both teams played below par, but I'm happy with the result as I predicted a draw.
Baca will win this Cup easily.

The potential semi-final between Barcelona and Real Madrid is far from a foregone conclusion imo.

But think the winner of that tie would be the overwhelming favourite in the final.

Semi could be interesting if they draw each other, but I've watched both teams quite a few times and Baca are for me, miles better.

The draw's done, they will play each other barring something extremely improbable next week in London or Donetsk.

I would not underestimate Mourinho in that type of situation, he got the better of Barcelona in the same scenario last season with a weaker squad of players.

Thanks EG, I did know the draw, not thinking clearly.Having not beaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge for years and years was too much.

What was the score the last time these two met?

I can't recall a season in recent times where we were favourites to win anything.

Meh, write of the madridistas at your peril, imo. Would love to see them absolutely slaughtered though. Who has the second leg at home for that semi?

What I don't get about Rooney's fan is people swear constantly.

They swear at refs, they swear at each other. When you see someone miss, the camera will often catch them yelling "f**k!" or whatever. If the TV company were allowed to place mics above the pitch, they would and we'd all hear that.

Ultimately its the broadcasters fault the words were ever aired.

A two match ban is way over the top, and since Rooney apologised straight away, any other player who does the same and does not show such regret should expect an even worse punishment - though somehow I doubt this will happen.

It also sets a precedent that any player negatively affecting the premier league should be punished.

I absolutely agree I'm not trying to justify what Rooney did it was stupid but practicly every game you see similar directed at officials.  Why is that better?
A couple of weeks ago Cole directed and absolute tirade at a linesman, including several F*** also picked up by microphone by the way.  If you are being consistant surely these deserve bans as well.

Would not expect you to think any differently, except you would had it been an Arsenal player, but then when was the last Arse player to score a hat trick?

You're giving Rooney far too much credit.

I remember when Javier got sent off at OT and I was absolutely disgusted. Couldn't believe (well, I could, it was at OT) the ridiculous over-reaction, the fact it was even a red, and that he got a 3 game ban or whatever it was. mind you, i guess he was a 'dirty Argentine'. Absolutely appalling. in regards to the point in bold, I was saying the exact same thing after Masch's sending off, and seeing as what Rooney, Rio and co (yes, Stevie G and Torres as well ) get away with week in week out, it was ridiculous that you make a scape goat of one player and then do fk all in every incident after.

However, in this case, I think 2 games isn't enough.

Doing it directly to the camera is different to doing it in the game though. Kinda like Paul Henry's comments- people say that sh*t all the time, but you cannot say stuff like that on national television and expect to get away with it.

Looks good, only seen a game or two with him playing. Keeping Asenjo from playing.
The squad needs some rejuvenating in most positions, 'keeper included. Impressed with Neuer too.

Yeah, take Neuer plz. De Gea is unbelievable quality. So young, so he still has a lot to learn,  but he is really really good. With the defence that he has in front of him (which, at times, has been nothing short of awful- it wouldn't be an understatement to say you saw better defending in yesterday's Grand Final!), he's been sensational. But stay awayyyyy.

Heard the other day Neuer is going to Bayern.

I think the ball is in De Gea's court - he has to weigh up leaving hometown club while being so young against this massive opportunity.

No question he could become a top goalkeeper at United for years to come.

Pretty sure they just swap it around. Same with what they did with the Barca v Arsenal second leg, no?

Yeah - I can see why but it seems a bit ridiculous. Will have to locate a stream tomorrow morning.

Lolz at Man City. God I hope Tottenham can get up and give them a go for fourth. Would be just tremendous.

And also Tevez looks like he's done a hamstring. They're looking in sharp form for the big one this Saturday.
