worst showing by england teams in some time

Well it was a fantastic game and a fantastic tie. Two fantastic CL quarter final ties this season. Perennial strugglers Liverpool fans must feel so envious that they're missing out. Oh well, there's always next season....oh wait

first time in 7 years, I think the commentators said, that there will be no English teams in the semis and have had a team in the previous 5 finals

Made me feel a little better.

The pressure and pace of Man Utd's game in the first half was great, need to keep that up for the rest of the season.

Bullsh*t bullsh*t bullsh*t f**king bullsh*t bullsh*t bullsh*t.

First yellow card should've been Rafael's free kick. Secons should never have been a yellow card, and most definitely not a second yellow card.

Refs lose us yet another game.

Bullsh*t bullsh*t bullsh*t.

Sorry, didn't knows fans weren't allowed to be angry at such bullsh*t decisions?Michael2010-04-08 08:57:55

Michael, you're starting to sound like a Perennial strugglers Liverpool fan the way you whinge about referees. You were level over two legs against a top Bayern Munich side, and went out on away goals only. Live with it. You hardly disgraced yourselves.

Three for me, and two for them.

We're here too win. And when the entire two legs gets f**ked by the poorest two decisions I've ever seen hell yes I'm going to be angry.

Not to mention the decisions were simple ones.Michael2010-04-08 09:05:17

But it wasn't blatantly wrong, it was only contentious. And United have had plenty of contentious or 50/50 calls go their way over the years, particularly at Old Trafford. Like i said, you just have to live with it in football, even if you are unlucky.

Three for me, and two for them.

We were sh*t in that first leg. Bayern got a couple of lucky breaks in that game and we got one, but it happens. If we had played better in that first tie, like we did today until we went down to 10, we may have been going through.

There is simply no way United lost due to reffing decisions.

Shoot.

The first 43 minutes we were outstanding, especially Nani, Valencia, Rafael and Gibson. The turning point was that Olic goal, that really brought them into it and we failed to get back on top from that just before halftime.

QUOTE=Arsenal]Ribry "no faster" than Neville. [/QUOTE]
Yesterday, when I saw this, I actually nearly posted that the reason SAF would pick Neville is that Rafael, without fail, will get a yellow card in the first half of any match. Without fail. So the fact he did go with him paid off big time in the first half, where he was outstanding, but not so in the second. Obviously with the red we had to bring O'Shea on who hadn't played since Henry's Hand of Frog and all that...

Bayern were great in that second period, great goal from Robben, and kept the ball from us masterfully in the final 10. Full credit to them, they were the better team over the two legs.

didn't see first yellow. Second yellow was slightly harsh, but if you are on a yellow already, and pull on the guys shirt in front of you, you are a moron.

Yes as far as I know there are no quantitative measures of referee harassment.

Didn't see the first yellow, so can't comment on that.

The second was a clear yellow.
