Three for me, and two for them.
his priority is the league (let's be honest, the league cup was fucked as soon as we got Man City over 2 legs). So far, being focused on the league has seen us in 2nd bottom, with one win in about the last 9 games (not sure of the facts, but it is pretty fucking terrible).
Getting fucked 5-0 in the cup by lower league opposition is not acceptable, I don't give a fuck what your priorities are.
And why the fuck does not getting humiliated in the cup mean that we have to roll over in our next 2 games?

Mourinho, Wenger, Rodgers, Martinez and Moyes are in a bar.
Mourinho buys 5 glasses of Portugese wine.
Then Wenger buys 5 glasses of Bordeaux.
Then Martinez buys 5 San Miguel beers.
Then Rodgers buys 4 glasses of Champagne.
Looking dejected, Moyes asks where his glass of champagne is.
Rodgers replies: “This is the fourth round, and you’re not in it!”

Stating the obvious.
Thing is he got it spot on this time. Two huge matches coming up for West Ham, one being a cup semi. As if a 3rd round cup match is as important. Face it, the FA Cup is shit now anyway. No one really gives a fuck.
But yeah, he should have put out his absolute best eleven then rolled over for the next two matches.
Yeah well, "spot on" wasn't he? The 6-0 first leg Capital One spanking proved it was a waste of time resting his first-choice players in the FA Cup game.
They never had a chance against Man City anyway in a two-legged semi. In my opinion should have fielded a stronger side in the FA Cup tie v Forest, a game they actually had a chance of winning. I know they had injury and suspension problems but still shouldn't have thrown the game like that...
I agree with Sky Sports UK on this one: "Allardyce ...handed out a total of five debuts, three from the start and two more off the bench, among nine changes to his team. It was a gamble that backfired horribly as the relegation-battling Hammers simply had their confidence further assaulted by lower-league opposition."
Premier League sides manage to play Champions League/ Europa League games midweek without fielding pathetically weak sides in EPL games either side of them...
And plenty of us still give a fuck about the FA Cup.
By the way, West Ham are my second team after Charlton, so I care what happens to them...
This opinion piece by the BBC's chief football writer sums things up well: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/25663392

All the while I was on holiday we lost every game. 3 points is all I can say about this effort. First half Swansea were much the better side.
Moyes needs to get rid of at least 8 players.
If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid
Robbie Savage suggested 12 players need to be got rid of.

Was a good article in the Mail from him. Made some good and fair observations. What's going on in this thread, where have all the ardent United fans disappeared to? Just because you're not top of the table doesn't mean you have to go into hiding.

Have to disagree about Saturdays game. For all Swanseas dominance in the first half De Gea wasn't tested, and United should have been up 1 nil.
In the second half United should have scored 5 or 6. This performance was much like a number over the past few years under Fergusson.
I thought a heap of praise was lumped on Januzaj, when it was actually Shinji coming inside that made the difference against Swansea. He retained the ball very well and kept looking to probe and keep the ball moving around. Should of scored a goal to be fair though.
Outside of a couple of very poor defensive errors I thought Utd played better than I've seen for a long time. I hate them losing but if the oppo is better and we still played reasonably well then I can take it.
Laughing at some of the comments from 'other' supporters who wanted us to get a result so they have a better chance at the title.
I have got news for you. Don't worry about Chelsea because City will run you down and win by 10 points.

United "fans" jumping ship to city already lol. It was always going to happen, let's be honest...

Yep. I thought we were happily the better team on the park. The first 15 minutes was fantastic.
I hope Anderson's loan to fiorentina is good for him (I suspect it will be). It could still be reasonable business for us.
How i would love Mata to be heading our way. Sadly the only way I can see it happening is if we allowed Rooney to go the other way.

Preview of Thursday morning's (NZT) Capital One Cup semi from the BBC:

No Vidic of course after being sent off v Chelsea; Evra also in doubt - will be a weak defence without them.
Just finished watching Man Utd v. Chelsea replay on Sommet Sport - Utd the better side in first half + even the Chelsea TV commentator agreed Vidic shouldn't have been sent off! I think United will win by two goals against Sunderland.

Evil Kagawa on twitter;
"So many chant of "MOYES OUT...MOYES OUT...MOYES OUT...MOYES OUT" Team bus no usually so noisy!"
Ha ha that kagawa twitter account is a crack up
More seriously, twitter rumours intensify that Mata deal is imminent.

Read marcotti's piece on ESPN for a good breakdown of a possible Mata move. In my view Mata to Man U could rejuvenate, much like ozil to arsenal. But true, we have too many wingers, not enough midfielders.

Oh. my. lord.
Welbeck and Jones don't even hit the target and Janujaz and Raffael both had their pens saved.
All after a howler from De Gea was rescued by Hernandez late goal. De Gea saved 3 pens as well.
But the bigger story is the 120 min before all this.

de gea's howler wasn't really rescued then was it... fact is if he saved it, you'd be at wembley

Pedantry is one of my favourite things.
De Gea only saved 2 penalties by the way :)
True, Sunderland put one over the top, but...............It doesn't MATA!
Ben Smith, BBC Sport
MATA ON THE MOVE
"Juan Mata is set to undergo a medical with Manchester United on Thursday ahead of his proposed £37m move from Chelsea.
"The Spaniard said goodbye to team-mates and staff at Chelsea's Cobham training ground on Wednesday and is not expected to return to the club.
"Mata is expected to sign a four-and-a-half year deal at Old Trafford.
"United continue to deny having made a bid for Mata, but it is understood they have made an offer through intermediaries working on the deal."

hullo cheque book my old friend
Good move for Mata, he should get plenty of game time.
E's Flat Ah's Flat Too
Needs game time if he wants to make Spanish squad for World Cup.
Just as long as Moyes doesn't try to play him as a frickin' winger!

Leggy just accept in this moment in time your team is playing sh*t and you should have the piss taken out of you.
If you do get Mata you're a pack of lucky bast*rds, good signing.
lol

Heard Mata can't sign a contract anymore because all the pens at Old Trafford are shit.
Three for me, and two for them.
where will they play Mata? Assuming everyone is fit Moyes either keeps what appears to be his favoured 4-4-2, with Mata on the left wing (and Rooney in behind RVP), or he goes to a 4-2-3-1 with Mata, Rooney and someone else behind RVP. This puts too much pressure on their 2 in centre midfield as Mata does not track back enough (which is why Chelsea are getting rid of him). Rooney will go in the summer, which means that Mata will play their from next season, but I see the end of this season being even more of a massive clusterfuck for them.

Oh, the clusterfcuk is far from over.
Mata would be wasted on the wing and I agree Rooney is likely to head out in the summer.
I'd like to see a 4231 with whoever is left of RVP/Welbeck/Hernandez/new striker TBA up top; three of Kagawa, Mata, Nani, Janujaz as the 2nd line; two new deep playmaking hardworkng midfielders (currently Carrick/Fletcher/Jones/Cleverly), with whoever is going to play in the backline, assuming Evra and Vidic may be on their way out, that's probably another 2 signings there too. Fellaini has to go, and I'd happily let go of Cleverly, Young, Valencia. Giggs will retire and probably Rio (or move ot MLS).
So shopping list of 5: striker, 2 playmaking mids, CB and LB
