The fuck? Moyes was always supported at Old Trafford. Yes his managerial reign was criticised but he gave us a shit load to criticise. At Chelsea or Man City he would have been out of there way quicker. We got rid of him because his results were poor.

Arsenal would've kept him for another 12 years for his level of consistency.

Moyes lost the dressing room and was in over his head. Fan opinion reflected that.

True, I also think he and Di Matteo get together to reflect how they are still getting paid their salaries for doing nothing and won't have to work again...why work when you get paid any way? Be interesting to see if Martinez is able to bring the consistency to Everton or if the trick of keeping a club well in the top half eludes him...

Wilshere shouldn't have been on the park.

Very glad we don't have to put up with "why did they release him?!?!?" Welbeck shit this fine morning.

Di Maria why you no make it 3-0 and save us the heart permutations

LOL at shitty arse fans - their stadium was empty with 30 minutes (including stoppage time) to go.

I'll take those 3 points although the best footballing  side lost.

Had I  not known  who was playing when I tuned in it would not have been hard to know which was the home team. The Woolwich boys are the best in the EPL for booing. Not only RVP but Shaw when he was injured.

If I was looking for a managers job in the UK and had to pick Arsenal or Utd I would take ( at the moment anyway) Arsenal cause they are a good side, play some great football but have a manager that cannot deliver.

We had a very weak side out today and when be get our best out ( plus some new ones) it is going to be a very hard side to beat.

Have no idea what the possession was to Arsenal but it must have been massive. Every time they went forward I expected them to score.Only some poor finishing, good and lucky defending and some great goalkeeping kept them out.Up to 4th but still a long way to go.

Reasonable analysis from you there Leggy, which is unusual.

I'm still buzzing that McNair, Blackett and Smalling managed!

Smalling was immense.

The other two were just plain lucky...

Ahhh Buffy, spends what seems to be his entire life (outside of high school) on internet forums (YF, Reddit). Armed with shitty memes, drunk on envy, he uses his lack of perspective in an attempt to "troll" everyone and anyone.

Had another look at the game this afternoon. Although we had a lot less possession than Arsenal ( and of course I knew the result) they just did not seem to have the cutting edge. Welbeck ( and I really like him as a bloke) is going to be on the bench a lot as he just does not have the football brains. He skinned Carrick from the left and all he had to do was square the ball and it was in-- he tried a shot from an almost impossible angle. Wilshere was lucky to stay on the field. He is a head banger but a great player.A really shocking decision from the linesman re the Rooney offside. That was game over.

What I really was interested in was how did Arsenal react to being 1-0 down. Well they lost their shape and players did their own things. Mertesacker was to blame for Rooneys goal. He was camped 20 metres in the Utd half. The important thing is to keep the shape and not panic..

Blackett gave the ball away more than the rest of the team combined. Hope he does not get another game.

I also hope that the Utd fans don't boo Welbeck, although I am confident they will not. In the return game with all our player fit we should get at least 3/4 goals.

Dortmund will be a tester midweek for Arsenal and it will be interesting to see if Wenger can lift his players.

Having a lot of possession means nothing as a lot of than could be in your own half.

You'll notice "shitty arse fans" was directed at those shit fans that left with 30 odd minutes left. Quite warranted if you ask me. You'll also notice the name of this thread.

Blackett is only young but he needs to try and quicken his reflexes and reaction time,he is too slow on the ball and slow to react at times. This was the type of game we would have lost last season,so it was good to see them grind it out even if we were a bit lucky.

So this.

We acted like we were 2-0 down in the 90th. No patience at all, everyone just poured forward as if we needed a goal within the next 30 seconds.

We did create plenty of chances because of it, but we left an ocean of space. This ManU team is pretty poor but one thing they do have is quality attacking players who can hurt you when you do dumb things like throw all your defenders forward.

On a side note I was personally quite shocked at van Persie's general level of play. I think his legs are going, he might be done. I'd love to see some GPS stats but to me it seemed he covered a lot less ground than he usually would in a game. His pace has dropped and his movement wasn't there - and that movement was his key strength for me. He's so good at turning CB's inside out before receiving the ball, but I didn't see that from him. Wouldn't be surprised if van Gaal offloads him at the end of the season.

Very interesting reading some of the comments from UK papers re this game. Mata was given 9 from some jurno, not  sure what game he was watching. The longer the game went on the sooner I wanted it to end. With all due respect Hull were the poorest team I have seen this season. We strolled around like it was a training session. Some of the passing was really poor but Hull gave it almost straight back. I love to watch a possession game but we took it too far. There was no urgency and everyone just played it sideways and back. That in itself is fine if you plan to attack at some point but there was not a lot of movement and we looked like we had done the job at 3-0 and just wanted to go home.

For me the two standouts were Carrick and Herrera .At least these two were worth getting up for in the middle of the night.

I thought Mata was good but it was the type of game suited to Mata. Hull are very poor and not very physical. Our defence wasn't put under any pressure so Mata doesn't need to worry about that. I wouldn't want to see Mata start against better sides based on a performnce like that.

It sounds like Di Maria should be back in action soon.

Another 65% possession game. Should of won by 4/5. The only real danger was in time added on when De Gea made a sharp save and Young cleared off the line. Hope we can get some decent defenders in Jan cause at the moment there are some players in the future that will not even make the bench. Wilson showed that he will be a great striker and Carrick was again the stand out today.

Pleased I did not have to get up in the middle of the night to watch this game. Probably the poorest we have played. Fellaini and Mata were embarrassing. Mata was never in the game and Fellaini was back to last years performance. Carrick was poor today and his usual good passing was absent. We always looked under the pump at the back and going forward we were OK.

RVP ( apart from his two goals ) was the standout player and although Rooney did not play to his standard he was the next best. When you are not performing and winning I guess you can take it, but with all the talent we have it is very frustrating.

When LVG does get the team he really wants we are going to really hammer somebody.

One of United's greatest traits - and what probably made us so successful was being able to grind out results like this.

3 shots is the least shots we've had in a game for at least 11 years.

Fellaini plays well but is frustrating, often a burden on attack. Same with Young. Can't wait to have a fully fit squad.

Is hardly grinding out a result - is more being the luckiest team on the planet currently.

Yes and no. Its not like Southampton were cutting us up going mental and I'm sure we would've had a change of philosophy if we didn't get lucky early. I'd call that grinding out a ressult.

He was MOM by a mile. I thought we were better than last week but no where near the standard we should be setting. Fellaini and Evans passing was not as good as A league  players. Carrick (as well as he played) is wasted playing at the back. Mata did have a good game but I think his lack of pace is going to cost him. RVP again showed that he is a class player.

At times Liverpool looked very good and should have scored at least two. I think they lack a lot of confidence but at Anfield they will be hard to beat. Our discipline was shocking today and with three bookings in the first 20 mins it put us under pressure for the rest of the game.

The only good thing was three points.
