Tekkers, that was the most constructive response I have read. What you have said makes perfect sense. I actually like the special one. I am not jealous of Uniteds success. At QPR we are small in numbers yet we are not numbers but people whom know each other. At united you are one of 75k at the games or one of umpteen million which in my opinion makes you just a number, not a person as such.

On a side note, it may please you to know that Basti has been in full in first team training lately. Murmurs that it's been a massive media beat up. I wonder if perhaps Bastian was ill (Fletcher-esque) or just wanted an extended break or something.

In regards to the support / fan / bandwagon / bashing other teams - I can fully understand the dislike towards United by some groups. But I have to say that some of the arguments that some use to take aim at United (and other teams) are sometimes unsubstantiated. Hate the opinon / argument and not the person haha. 

United are such a commercial brand and have the ability to maximise the revenue from that. But that has only come about from football success in the past. When other teams have the same degree of on field performance, then maybe the off field stuff will improve too. But that also depends what standards you set for the club. 

Maybe that's why United gets so much attention - because its off field operations reflect the on field performances of the past and it is currently not at that level (and hasn't been for some time). Maybe United has lost some of the stigma about having bandwagon fans by its continuing support even when performances haven't been at the historical standard. And if people want to 'support' some other team when times are hard then you aren't really that into it.

You forgot to mention our back four. Valencia  has not played for weeks. Jones has probably not had more than 5 games in 2 years. Rojas has not played more than 4 games this season and Darmian who is the worst defender in the league. 

Considering we had players out as well we were OK, if fact played a lot better than I predicted. When the manager finally picks his best X1then we will have a reasonably good side.

Where do Arsenal go from here. With Wenger, not very far, certainly unlikely to win the league or the CL. Will be interesting to see how we go in the return game. You have not won at OT for 10 years, but we have beaten you away 4 times in the last 10 years.

If one really wants to upset Man u fans at the moment, one only has to suggest they watch the United team of 75/76 playing on You tube. The style that Docherty had them playing was innovative, attacking and even I would have paid to have watch them. Two wingers in Coppell & Hill with Pearson leading the attack. I always thought that that was a very under acknowledged side. Macari, Buchan, Stepney, Greenhoff, Nichol, McIlroy,  McQueen  was about to join them in defence.

Ignoring all the rubbish going on in this thread, I'm not trying to incite at all, but just want to correct this as it seems to have been widely reported this way. We won at OT season before last, in a big match with a hot atmosphere, similar to the weekend, and with largely a similar squad to what we have now, so I imagine that there is no real monkey on the backs of our guys around this. 

The Mourinho record however is another story for Wenger, and definitely is an outlier of a statistic.
