And because there is such a small pool of top quality
proven english players, if we had any of them the

your absolutley right, if you put the entire england squad into a
team in the premier leagu, they would finish about 10th, if you put
spain, italy or france, holland, germany, maybe
portugal & Czech teams in there they would be the top
7,

Quite right,the previous English youngsters coming through have not
been up to the Arsenal standard.
The current ones seem to be at a differnet level
however.Liam Brady has said the current youngsters coming
through include quite a few Englishmen who have been
coached the Arsenal way.
Arsenal has produced plenty of talent for the rest
of the Premier League (Sidwell,Bentley,Larrson,Anelka,Penant,Upson
to name few) just not quite up to the Arsenal standard.
Then theres the English players who have been at Arsenal,they
have hardly shown they were up to it and prove to be a
lot less disciplined than the other Arsenal
players.

Yes it was King Kolo. I reckon his best bit of business is possibly
buying Anelka for 500k and selling him a couple years later for 23

with 10 men, against a full strength Blackburn team.

What an effort today,the youth team up against the ropes
after letting a 2 goal lead slip then having a man
sent off,manages to find a winner in extra time and hold on.
Not one player who played today will start on the weekend,so
all the lads will be fresh as well.
Will hopfully be a turning point for Eduardo as he comes up to
the 6 month settling in period.
