If we don't bring in a striker i hope Wenger gives Podolski a go up front.

Three for me, and two for them.

Still yet to look particularly organized which is a little strange for us.  yes Ozil should play behind a single striker. Little annoyed Kos wasn't subbed immediately.

Foxes played well, a good point for them.

I'd be surprised if no one arrives inside the remaining days of the transfer window but if it's only a striker without a DM and CB it'll be a waste of time.

No thanks. Will never be a CF.

Totally agree foal. Hopefully there are some surprises come tomorrow morning. It will end up being Rabiot probably (in regards to DM) - but guess that's better than no one. Would certainly prefer a more established player.

Also agree about the organisation, the players looked at times like they've never met. Certainly well done to Foxes, they were well up for it.

Midfield just looks so disjointed. Sometimes it seems like it's an inconvenience to Wenger that he has to play goalkeepers, defenders and strikers. Like he'd much rather play 11 AMs and if he can't do that he'll try and fit 4 or 5 of them into the front 6. Today we looked like a team who only play 5 a side possession games at training. Everyone wants to be on the ball dictating things, but noone wants to make a run in behind the defence.

An issue (whilst watching on TV half the world away) seems to be the release ball to the player who actually makes a run. Looked to me today that 2 midfielders looked unsure on playing to Sanogo.

As an aside, why did we wear the away kit? We wouldn't usually at Everton or Leicester. Is it perhaps part of the Puma deal that the away kit has to be worn equally as much as the home?

Anyone still thinking we can mount a half decent challenge with Giroud and Sanogo as our two main strikers? Ozil, Sanchez and Ramsey don't deserve to be playing with Sanogo up front. Fatigue from the build-up of games? That's what happens when you build 4th place up to be a trophy each year.

Positives - this month we can look forward to beating the yids again.

I'm hoping we sign at least 3 players in the next 19 hours and Wenger is having his hand forced.

and new is campbell now wanting a transfer. this is turning into a bit of a circus at the emirates. From what I have seen of sanogo and from what I saw of campbell at the WC, id be picking campbell first time.

and rabiot seems to have signed for Roma,

I will not be surprised if we finish up tomorrow with no new transfers in and 1 transfer out.

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Just watching the game now. ..Sanogo is sooooooooooooo frustrating!

Kos should have been subbed straight away...cant afford to take risks with head injuries.

Heres hoping for a couple of signings overnight...

Even the ones we have been linked with for years like Remy and Kalou have signed for clubs now. What's Trezeguet doing?

So that's Costa, Drogba, Balotelli, Lukaku, Remy and Falcao all signing for direct rivals this summer. Yet Wenger said: "All of our opponents look for strikers as well and nobody finds a world-class striker available who is better than the strikers you have."

So to confirm:

Chelsea - Costa, Remy, Drogba

City- Aguero, Jovetic, Negredo, Dzeko

Liverpool - Sturridge, Balotelli, Lambert

United - van Persie, Rooney, Falcao, Welbeck

Everton - Lukaku, Eto'o, Naismith

Arsenal - an injured Giroud, Sanogo.

Fucking hell.

And what's Wenger up to today you might ask? In Rome to referee a charity match.

Haha, like waking up on Christmas morning and there's nothing under the tree! There's still 3 hours to go, so it's all good :)

But seriously, my only question is where is a defender? I'll hold all angst until post window when we actually know what's up, but Arsenal are cutting it fine.

Haha:

Apparently, Arsene is at a charity event with the Pope. Can the Pope play up front?

Welbeck isn't a bad signing. decent central striker, and someone who could possibly have a good long term career at the club seeing as he is only 23

Difference is that only Arsenal and Chelsea in that list have one starting striker spot available - all the other sides there are playing two, so they need 3-4 strikers to accomodate that in their squad.

If you cover two starting positions then you need to add Sanchez and Walcott to our list.

If anything, that has to be a sign that defensive cover has been sorted and just not announced!

Rumours we had a bid turned down for Carvalho earlier in the day.

It would seem silly to let him go without having sorted anything...

Saw a rumour of Winston Reid for 3million, that would be a bargain.

Welbeck is looking nailed on at 16mil now, lots of reports

Not been a fan myself but he could do a job while Giroud is injured.

That's what people said when Sturridge moved to Liverpool, hopefully he can now reach his true potential with us.

Agree with both Paulm and Uber. I've never been a fan of Welbeck and always thought he was overrated but he does have Prem experience and like Uber says, he could be our Sturridge. Certainly better than nothing and he's still only 23.

He's also homegrown which is important to our squad make-up.

Although if this is it for today then our priorities are f*cked.

We better get a freaking CB...

Like others I'm no big fan of Welbeck though we could be the right environment for him and is still young. I just hope there's more...
