Ramsey has limped off in the 93rd min of Wales' european qualifier. YIKES.
(The not-so-temporary quite-official) Gooner Thread
Just came to post that. Had to happen. We got through the friendlies and yesterday unscathed so there had to be one today.
Ramsey tweeted just inane normal crap after the game, no mention of injury, so hopefully was just a precaution coming off... but who knows
Coleman said he twisted his ankle and got a kick and that "hopefully he will be ok for the weekend." We'll have to wait for Wenger's press conference later in the week.
Hmmm well if it's nothing serious we have enough midfield options to cover him at the moment.
A little too quiet on the Ramsey front. However it looks like Arteta is back training from photos they posted today.
Just to be safe I'd like to see something like this:
Szy
Debuchy Per Kosc Monreal
Flamini
Sanchez Wilshire Cazorla Ozil
Welbeck
That said, given the quality of City, I could see Rosicky getting a run ahead of Ozil for midfield energy, and possibly Ramsey/Arteta starting too if they're up for it.
Big week though, City at home then away for a Reus-less Dortmand.
Early kickoff against one of the big sides, they didn't go so well last season! Could be really important for our season to put up a good showing and get a result from this one. And regardless of the opposition, we need a win after the last 2 draws anyway.
Assuming Ramsey and Arteta are our, that's the lineup I prefer the 4-2-3-1 with the players we have, and Ozil needs to be in the 10 role not out wide. So Wilshere alongside Flamini, with Ozil in the middle and Cazorla on the left. Wenger seems to have given up on playing Santi out wide though. Ramsey and Arteta in for Wilshere and Flamini if fit. Big game for Welbeck starting in the position he wants to play. He's got until at least Xmas to lock down a starting spot.
yes big game
bring it on etc
Ozil to have a blinder

Reckon Ramsey will be starting given his latest comments. I'm hoping for;
Szczesny
Debuchy-Mertesacker-Koscielny-Monreal
Arteta-Ramsey
Sanchez-Ozil-Cazorla
Welbeck
Yep that's exactly my lineup and formation if Ramsey and Arteta make it.
nice photo but what are those two shiny things on the grass in front of Arteta and Mert?

good write up on the DMF situation

LVG doing a great job of motivating Welbeck. Interesting coaching method.
Should be a top game in the morning, certainly looking forward to it.

Pretty ass mouth of LVG really. Nice and classy, poor lad. Should have just got a 'thanks for your efforts son, good luck' etc. You know, it's not the worst thing, but it is still a bit shit.
Sanchez on the left and Welbeck up front for me tonight. I think Sanchez' workload will help sort Zabaleta out too. Double pivot of Arteta and Ramsey. Get in there.
van Gaal is feeling the pressure a bit I guess, having spent all that money and now needing to deliver big time - cracks me up that ManU have forecasted their next financial results based on a 3rd place or higher finish. Risky business, there'll be a lot of people sweating over there this season
Despite getting done in every big game last season in the league, going into tonight with a belief that things will finally work out for us. Hoping Ozil plays central behind Wellbeck and that Wenger can see the obvious. Ramsey needs to be fit, I would go with your lineup Paul though possibly play Wilshere over Arteta as I think these are the games when our lack of DM gets exposed.
It's easy to forget (I did...) but we did actually draw this fixture last season despite our troubles against the big boys away.
Wilshere is a strong tackler, has a good engine and is very tenacious, I could see him playing there successfully. Looks like England are going to play him at the base of their diamond moving forward so it'll be good to see how he progresses in that set-up.
Insanity as Robbie Savage offers tactical advice too Wenger on how best to overcome MCFC this weekend.
No it's not April 1.

Calling it early exiting 4-3 win Welbeck to net two...balls on the line ;)
No Yaya Toure. Nasri on the bench, Jovetic ruled out previously, their lineup is a little defensive compared to what Pellegrini usually puts out. Still sh*tloads of talent though.
Oh fuck! I have an awful feeling Debuchy has broken his ankle there shi shit shit
alexis wow his all around work rate is superb. city 2nd was very very silly. Did the commentator annoy anyone else or just me? Was also happy with welbeck too. Debuchy will be a huge loss, as good as callum has been he looks a bit slow
go gunners
Yep, reports saying he has gone to hospital with a lower leg injury
oh ozil was very frustrating was a bit suprised he didn't get taken off for aanti
go gunners
Im suprised Santi didn't come on for Ozil tbh...ozil needs to play central hes a passenger on the left
wow i am pleasantly surprised at how well we played today, we could have easily gone onto take all 3 points. I thought jack was good and full of running, sanchez just continues to shine - and I totally agree with Ripthajacka about his work rate, he was buzzing around everywhere. Danny was very unlucky not to get his first goal with a beautiful chip!
not sure why Ozil is out wide as he is pretty ineffectual there, but im more worried about his general workrate - which never seems to be high - rather than his positional play.
Ozil had a poor match this morn, he had lots of chances on the ball but too many giveaways, not enough incisive balls
Aside from him I thought we were friggin awesome for huge sections of the game. Welbeck tried hard but you could tell he was disjointed from the team a little, he didn't quite know where his team mates were, if we had Giroud we might've torn them to pieces in that first half hour.
Wilshere and Sanchez were excellent. Deserved goal-scorers. Particularly enjoyed Wilshere giving Clichy lessons all over the pitch, he really hounded him, and that fend off of Nasri was very nice too;

Real pity we switched off like that for their 2nd, I thought we deserved to take it out today. They are dangerous and looked likely when they got the ball, but I thought we dominated more of the game. If Welbeck's shot had gone in early we may have seen a different match.
Oh and whoever said we need our own fernandinho, yes completely agree... was thinking that during the match. He was cynically and effectively breaking up our counter attacks all day, exactly what we were missing when they broke. They always looked dangerous and often we either won it back right away through Sanchez, or we would allow a cross/shot at the other end. Nothing in between, no one reading the play well enough between goal boxes to nip in, or slow the play up. We needed more out of Flamini in that respect. I wonder if we'd have been a bit better if Arteta was fit enough to start.

Dammit does anyone know a way around the arsenal player "content not available in your location" situation? Why are we getting that now?
there is an extention/app called hola unblocker I use which is awesome
From a neutral(ish) point of view, I thought you lot were a bit lucky to get a point. Controlled possession well but didn't create a hell of a lot. Best chances came from City errors and I thought there were little fouls on City players in the lead up to both your goals. Not to mention the penalty shout against Wilshire who should have been on a yellow at that stage.
In saying this I do have a bit of a soft spot for City being the loveable losers for so long.
