What a half! Where's that been this season?

Keep our discipline and composure and we will stick several more past these mugs.

Three for me, and two for them.

Probably should be 3-0 up. Ramsey is giving me the sharks so he'll most likely score.

Very good performance and win.

Ozil was a class above anyone else on the pitch today. Also very impressed by Kos and Mustafi at the back. Lacazette worked hard too and did well with our second goal.

Happy to beat that lot again and have something to be positive about heading into next week.

Three for me, and two for them.

Also...get in. What a result. Amazing defending from the lads, and the Sanozette triple threat was a delight to watch. Time to go on a run eh? 6/6 at home too, just got to sort that away form.

Big three league games coming up, after we face Cologne this week.

We travel to Burnley who have been playing well, and you would think will have Chris Wood back in their lineup.

Then we host Huddersfield midweek, before hosting ManU a few days later.

6 points a must from the first two, then a huge clash with ManU. They will no doubt mourinho their bus up to epic levels and we'll be tippy tappying around the box, looking for an opening. Could be a game tailor made for Giroud actually...

That's getting ahead of ourselves though. First the reserves to do a job at Cologne, and then what is really a pretty big challenge at Burnley, who are level with us on points.

Looking forward to the Burnley game and seeing how Dyche has them playing to get them this far up the table! Only been catching Wood's highlights not the overall team.

Interesting to see Holding, Chambers, and Mertesacker starting together - but funnily enough Chambers appears to be RWB while Debuchy is inside him at RCB!

That penalty looked soft. To me it looked like the Cologne player stood on Debuchy's foot.

Permalink Permalink

Yeah it was pretty soft, he definitely wen't looking for it. However given the number of chances we had you've got to be disappointed we didn't finish it. JW10 needs to just hit the f*cking thing more, too often didn't fashion a chance as he tried to over engineer it when recieving a layoff then taking multiple touches. Trust your left peg mate.

not sure what we were doing in the first half, but burnley were the more dominant team. They should of had a couple.

But the second half was a totally different story, we bossed them and should of had more than a couple. Still it feels like a very lucky win. Very happy to have it nonetheless.

Thought Jack did well when he came on, he was able to find the space between players in the final third, which when Ozil isnt on the field no else one does that well.

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Haven't seen anything apart from the penalty yet, but that's a very impressive three points away at a team who are playing very well this season. Great result.

Three for me, and two for them.

Munchen from 4:30 (Queens Wharf) then head to Aisle 30 at the game.

We’ve got your Supporters Club involved as well as the Geordies, Spurs, LFC, West Ham, and Chelsea fans coming. Should be good fun.

Sorry mate couldn't make it at the weekend, but a good promotion. If they do it next year I might pop along in me arsenal garb ;)

Well I thought we looked pretty bloody woeful all game. Very lucky to get a peno at the end, silly stuff from the Burnley defender.

Still, it is a good result, they were equal with us on points and are very hard to score against.

We'll take that, into 4th spot, 1 behind Chelsea and 4 behind ManU.

Now two big home games, Huddersfield and ManU. Win both and we could sneak up to 2nd depending on other results. Will take a better performance than this morning though. And hopefully Ozil back soon, we missed his accurate passing this morn, far too wayward in the front third especially.

Where was Mesut? Apparently he is not playing v Huddersfield either.

Apparently Ozil woke up ill. Seems to happen a lot to him. We were pants. Sanchez was the worst up front, so often he gave away the ball through eratic passing. Penalty was justified and deserved after Bellerin's wasn't given - found the commenting really well balanced this morning.

Edit: seeming as this is the top post of the page thought I'd clarify it was Ozil who woke up ill, not I ;-)

I'm a little confused, why was the Bellerin shout a penalty? I thought it was fine but may need to brush up on my laws of the game...

I thought that the defender was lucky that the ball hit him, otherwise if it went over him he would have impeded Bellerin without playing the ball. I assumed that because it did hit him, technically that counts as a tackle, and should be ok?

Keen to get the views of someone more up with the play on this stuff...

Nope. The ref would have seen him getting ball. Reverse angle, for me, shows defending sliding in and Hector moving the ball in an attempt to get inside before getting chopped. The ball hitting him on the chest is no defence. Would have thought the same if reversed too.

But the ball hitting him, for me counts as him winning the ball, before he touches Bellerin.

I feel it's a clean tackle in the end, even if he was a bit lucky with how it played out. In fact he may even have got it with his own foot before it hit his chest...

Here's the clip;

Great win for Leicester, love that. Also saw Eriksen with a terrible miss which was lovely.

ManU won but looks like Matic is injured, that's great for us this weekend, he is a key player.

well Cocks beaten certainly gives us big motivation to knock over Huddersfield

Good chance to put a little distance between the NL sides

Any word on Ozil?

I read Ozil will have a fitness test tonight, may be available for Huddersfield.

I'd be keen to give Jack a go tomorrow and save Ozil for ManU. Perhaps rest Lacazette for ManU too, and give Welbeck a run tomorrow?

Huddersfield;

                     Cech

      Koscielny-Mustafi-Monreal

Bellerin-Xhaka-Ramsey-Kolasinac

     Wilshere-Welbeck-Sanchez

ManU;

                     Cech

      Koscielny-Mustafi-Monreal

Bellerin-Xhaka-Ramsey-Kolasinac

       Ozil-Lacazette-Sanchez

That Lacazette goal proves we'll get as much out of him as we can create for him. He's such a good finisher. Loved his celebration with Sanchez too, they're loving it!
