Just heading out to work, but looking good so far. Pretty tense as befits these games.

Nice reception for @rseSol Campbell.

Gomes was massive tonight, 3 world class saves in the space of 3 minute after he had pretty much nothing to do up till then...

Barry Glendining (who writes for the Guardian and is on their Podcast) says he believes Gomes is the best keeper in the League. Not sure about that but i wouldn;t swap him for anyone in the EPL

How good is Van Persie though? Terrrifc player.

Best shot stopper possibly. He could improve other aspects of his game.

Oh how i wish Wenger would buy a top quality keeper

Three for me, and two for them.

Yeah, Arsenal lifted when Van Persie came on, mind you, we sat back at let them come at us rather than keeping a high line - had our chances to put that game to bed before Arsenal's late rally. Now for Chelsea and ManU

So are you not therefore implying your agreement???... glad I don't get LWC logic - it's way over my head!!!

No not really, he mightn't be the best (maybe Friedel?), but i wouldn't swap him, he's a character, love the way he celebrates when we score etc...

Yussssss. That feels good. Will cheer the Arse on against citeh. 4th still possible, but my nerves will not be able to take much more of that.

All on for the 4th spot now.
almost 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Reckon there could be a spot in the Turtles' back four for Campbell and Silvestre - they're both old enough
almost 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Silvestre is certainly sh*t enough ;-)

Chelski will be hard, after two very draining games this week.  but we owe them big time.

Always happy for a win (although I rated our chances better in a cup final  - still very happy with the moment).

Nice! We needed to win our game in hand on City, and bounce back from Sunday - all the sweeter to beat that lot too, it's been a while!!

It's gonna be tight for 4th, looking at what's left...

Us: Chelski (h), Manure (a), Bolton (h), ManC (a), Burnley (a)
ManC: Manure (h), Arse (a), Villa (h), us (h), WHam (a)

Their run-in's no easier than ours really. Need Utd to do a job on them this wkend - reckon it'll come down to the game between us at their place. COYS!!
almost 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
I think our run in is easier then Citehs. You would like to think Bolton and Burnley and almost bankers. I don't we will get anything at Old Trafford, but i don't expect Citeh to get anything from them on Saturday either.

West Ham always play well the last game of the season, especially at home, so I can't see much joy for them there. So a demoralised Arsenal is really there "easiest' game out of the four, and with Van Persie back I still would fancy Le Arse for that one.

If all goes well 2 wins and 2 draws from our last 5 games may do it for us.

This has not been a good season for "bankers".  You'd have thought that with 27 shots on goal to 11 a few days ago, Spurs should have buried Dindane et al.

Don't fancy our chances against Chelski and ManU tbh but so far there's 2 from 3 wins @ WHL against the big four, and ManU now aren't as sure of themselves.

Everything is still up for grabs (even the title for the @rse - just that most of their "fans" have given up).

Edit (again):  Forgot to mention that I'm still happy.  Loving this 2009/10 football season (NZ and EPL/Fizzy Pop) and it's not over yet.

Might be hard for a spurs "fan" to comprehend but being a "fan" doesn't mean that you have to be stupid. Arsenal2010-04-15 13:04:52

Arsenal now at $28 to win the league at the TAB...clearly it's not a "fan" setting the odds.

almost 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Wouldn't the fact that they're still offering odds on Arsenal winning the title suggest that the race is still on?

5 games left each for citeh and spurs.

The below is assuming we lose to chelsea and man u, and also that pool and villa don't win all their remaining games, which will prob happen as pool got chelsea (at anfield, though, but pool have 3 more away games) and villa got to travel to citeh.

If spurs lose to man citeh, than citeh will only need 2 points from 12 (man u (H), arse (A), villa (H) and west ham (A)).

If spurs draw to man city, then we have to beat bolton and burnley. This means citeh can only take 5 points out of those four games, 4 if we don't have a better GD.

If spurs beat man city... then we only need 4 points from Bolton (H) Burnley (A)...

This really is down to the wire
