I'll have to take your word on all of that.

What I do know is that I'll be cheering on Manure and @rse during the next couple of weeks.

It's a funny old game, as a wise drunkard once said (and repeated many times)

I have terrible rose tinted glasses, but it's a while since this has been done:

Gomes - 9: some world class saves from their sicknote kept us in it.
BAE - 7.5: Defence better than his attacking, which makes a change. Really worked hard to manage their kid (wassisname?)who came on.
Kaboul - 7: Worked vey hard. Some poor deliveries, but did very well filling the gap
Daws - 8.5: I have a man crush on this fella. Rock. I reckon he might be a surprise WC call up.
Ledley - 9: Another rock. Some very timely interceptions and challenges
Bale - 9: This young fella is immensely powerful and fit as a fiddle. Really combative and seems to be at both ends of the park. I supopse the winning goal scorer against the @rse should get 10.5 really?!
Danny Boy: 7.5 and cult status if he never laces up his boots again. Only 45mins played, but what a 45 ;-)
Luka: 8 - Some amazing moments and some shocking touches. The little general is so combative, and without Wilson there today, he needed to be.
Tom: 7.5 - Quiet in attack, but very strong in breaking up play.
JD: 7.5 - Pretty quiet, but he laid on nice ball for second (aided by their muppet at the back)
Pav: 7.5 - Defending from the front, worked very hard. Some opportunities butdidn't get the breaks.

Eider: 7.5 - Despite his early fuffed shot, he was one of the few Spurs players keeping possession during the nerve shredding last 10 mins. His experience showed.

Crouch: tall.

well done lads, been a long time coming

your defence was excellent today, we had so much possession but not enough guile and drive to get through. Crazy strike from rose and nicely worked goal catching us napping for the 2nd. A truly efficient victory, not dissimilar to those inflicted upon us by ManU in recent times

And Gomes. wow. Can we take him please? You still got cudicini, that's two keepers better than ours

Had to miss the second half as was heading into work and then... at work.

What I saw of the first half I thought that Ledley was the heart of the defence. Him and Dawson - great to have.

Bale - he is in form now - right when we need it. Wish Lennon was fit so that opponents fear both wings.

Rose - welcome to the Spurs hall of fame

Gomes - Liam who? Whatsisname Paston? I bet Heurelho is Spanish for Pat Jennings.

BTW, I'm h-a-p-p-y. Very.

Who would have thought that we'd be wanting the same as the scum:
Wenger admitted there is "too much to do now" in the title race as they look to close a six-point gap on leaders Chelsea in their final four games but will hope Spurs can do Arsenal a favour or two in their remaining games

Of course he does so in his best ungracious manner

It's easy really.

Every other EPL teams/fans hates the Manchester/Merseyside/London teams.

Each of the Manchester/Merseyside/London fans hate each other.

Arsenal and Tottenham fans both hate Chelsea because they don't belong in North London but in West South London with Fulham and that they are a pack of pensioners (check their first club crest). Sort of like a half-brother that we didn't want.

Nice article on Danny Rose:

"He said: 'I just didn't know what to do. I ran one way, then another to look for my dad, Nigel, and all of a sudden they were kicking off. I'd like to think it will be up there when it comes to goal of the season. I hope my mum has taped it for me.'

Betraying his innocence, he added: 'I picked up Theo (Walcott's) shirt (after the match). It's for my little brother, Mitchell.'"

Gawd bless 'im!

Speaking of the man.

I'll believe it when I see it, but Bale and Rose on the left and Lennon on the right. Mordic, Palacios...

Dawson, Ledley(?) and Gomes at the back.

A week for the lads to tke a well earned rest and get those injuries all fixed.

'Arry your triffic-ometer needs a "triffic, really triffic" rating at the top now.

Next week a chance to make it another win against the big 4 (albeit away) and for the 2nd best "N London" team to bury those blue Mancs.

Gomes

Sagna  Dawson  Vermaelen  Clichy

Defoe  Van Persie

as the N London XI
Wenger is the gaffer.

I don't know why you guys are being quite so dire about your prospects for 4th.

Sure, half of your last 6 games are against the top three but City have Brum, Arsenal, United, Villa, and you lot to play. That's a pretty tough run in as well.

i told you so.
almost 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Yes you did!

I was not confident that our injuries would give us such results so far, and I'm still not confident that our injuries will reduce over the last few games.  But what has been shown over the last two games is that there is spirit, depth and MAYBE the starting of some consistency.

Still, it's a funny old game innit?  And maybe the loss by City will undermine their confidence... good for your lot if so (and us too).

bale ahead of arshavin

defoe only gets in if it's tottenham's 4-4-2 formation - obviously the article is extremely  biased given they haven't even considered arsenal's formation - clearly our spot in the table shows we're the superior side, so why spurs' 4-4-2??? Most prem sides are playing 4-3-3's or 4-5-1's at the moment.

dawson's selection seems a bit weak but i can probably let that slide...

i would however strongly argue about palacios ahead of song and lennon ahead of nasri.

Yea you beat our severely injury-depleted side, but when you were at full-strength and we had a couple extra players we smacked you 3-0 earlier in the season. You lot are getting a wee bit ahead of yourselves eh?

Great cupla wins, enjoy it, but this article is quite ridiculous.

Top performance from us, Bale is in electrifying form at the moment...

Man Yoo at OT next week, NEVER get anything there but this week has been one for records to be broken, so who knows...just hope a certain Mr H Webb is a million miles away from Manchester.

Sorry you Yidologists, I should know better than to use unrecognised terminologies in your thread.

The acronym (understandably foreign to yourselves) ECL or CL refers to the European Champions League, where the better clubs from leagues across the UEFA confederation play in a league then knockout format to decide the winner.

Here's a link to a wiki which will tell you a little more about it... please don't thank me, am happy to help
