For us, any trophy is nice. A good, positive way to start the season.

Yay! A good start to the season with a 4-0 home win over Sporting Gijon. Forlan scored twice, Jurado and Simao got two brilliant goals too. Still some mistakes in the defence, but overall it was very good and was just our day!

Vamos!

Got a good 1-2 away win in Bilbao. Really hard place to go, so its a great result. Atleti, top of La Liga for another week!

Forlan y Tiago the scorers.. Campeones!

1-0 loss this morning. Tough place to go, but pretty average.. Costa missed a really good chance at the end too. Javito got a really nice goal.

Back to the Atletico we all know and love.

Lost at home to Barca 1-2.. We're meant to win these games

Strangely enough but both Forlan and Aguero played very weakly. Ujfalusi was best remembered only for a bad tackle on Messi for what he was shown justly a straight red card. Initial tests show no fracture so Messi could miss only two weeks. Good news.

Indeed. Tbf to Kun, he's still got a bit of a knock. Yeah, ruthless tackle.. At least it isn't as serious as it could have been.

Got the 1-0 win at home against Zaragoza this morning! Down to ten men after a ridiculous red card for Reyes for nothing. Also, they had an indirect free kick after a 'backpass' and Kun got so angry on the bench (cos he's injured) that he got booked and had to be held back by Flores

Diego Kosta scored for us after 20 minutes. We're in fourth place now!

Vamos!

Ref decision to give Reyes a straight red card really was strange. Though Zaragozas attack was a joke. They wouldnt have scored even if Atletico hade been down to 7 men.

Yip, stupid call, tbh. Ye, which is why they're bottom atm. Sucks that Leo Franco had to go off injured too.

Dont know whether its loss for Zaragoza or not. I watched how Zaragoza lost 3-5 at home to Malaga and Leo Franco looked, to put it mildly, very unconvincing in that game.

No shame in losing to Villareal at the moment.  Diego Kosta should have played better, though.

Algee, won in the Copa del Rey! 5-0, easy easy. Kun is back! Godin, Merida and Kosta also on the scoresheet.

Yeah, they are playing so well at the moment.

Should be easy against a team in the Segunda - ESPN didn't even put up a proper summary! - but it's important that the team didn't succumb to complacency.

Do you rate the rumour of Forlan leaving?  He is wonderful, but it's probably Atleti's last chance to sell him.

Tell that to Madrid  Its always nice to cruise through these games though..

Its true, maybe it is our last chance, but he is brilliant and, personally, I love him as a player at Atletico. With Kun, we have one of the best partnerships in the world. I hope he stays, even for the rest of his career, because for us he has become a star

1-1 at halftime vs Almeria. Conceded a soft goal just before the break after Kun had given us the lead. Pretty frustrating, but we are playing alright!

Got the 2-4 win away at Real Sociedad.. nice to see Forlan score again. Simao with a pen. And the simply brilliant Kun with 2 goals. Great stuff. What a player.

Ffs, another 2-3 loss at home. First to Espanyol and now to Aris in the Europa league. 2-1 up too, not good enough.

At least Real lost.....

Barca 5-0 Madrid.

Yeah, he is one of the best players in La Liga, I think. And he is Atleti and has stayed for longer than most people thought he would.
