They signed the starting keeper from Austrian side TSV Hartberg.
Hopefully something else waiting in the wings for Paulsen. He has to be in Europe next season doesn't he? He's got nothing left to prove in the A-League.
Ramming liberal dribble down your throat since 2009
This forum needs less angst and more Kate Bush threads
As others have said if he was straight away starting at that level, why not. Worst places to live than leafy SW London.
You'd hope in League One he'd quickly be a standout, and after a season there some Championship clubs would be talking to The Cherries about a loan deal for 26/27.
Paulsen at 22 (23 next month) still so very young for a keeper.
The Ruf, The Ruf, The Ruf is on Fire!!

Alex Paulsen (22) is on a list of goalkeeper targets at St Mirren. 🇳🇿✅
There is also interest from Scottish Premiership clubs. 🏴

In 2024, he was with the Wellington Phoenix, on the verge of being sold to English Premier League club AFC Bournemouth for a $1.9m fee that could rise to $4.5m if certain clauses are met.

Kepa's gone, but Neto's back.
Dorde Petrovic. Damn.
So, theoretically possibly number three keeper. Not too bad. Gets him training with these guys.
Wonder if AP will just stay around the Cherries until the January window. Be in goal as an o/a player for their U21s.
Big learning curve for him at the moment, and he will be soaking up alot being in high intensity EPL trainings each day, around top top players. High quality coaching and facilities. 6 months doing that day in day out, could be great in the long term for his development.
Probabaly didn't need to be playing this guy ahead of Alex Paulsen during preseason then, aye? https://t.co/5HCqoHRDUq

Dennis got half an hour on their preseason tour while admittedly Alex didn’t get on the pitch.
Would back him however to become number two.
Don’t think at his age having a season on the bench in the premiership and some cup games would hurt his development
Auckland will rise once more
Queenslander 3x a year.
Not a chance in hell they'll ever even consider dropping Paulsen

Bournemouth have agreed a deal with Botafogo forgoalkeeper Neto.
AP one step closer to staying at the Cherries for this season

A season training day in day out with an EPL club, sprinkled with say appearances for the U21s is of higher value than a season in goal in the ALM. Each day at the Cherries he would be challenged at a level way above, his prior time in the ALM.
As MM says madness to think he's not clearly one of the top 2 AW keepers. The real battle is for the 3rd keeper spot.

That’s the good thing about this forum, people can have different views. The advantage of this differing view is that we will get an answer come WC time, of course there is still a lot of water to go under the bridge before then, AP could very well end up starting over in the prem, others may get injuries or some could cash in from others above getting injured
