India secure amazing 1 wicket victory, cricinfo has the game still going, fox sports aussie says
all over
India mustered a miraculous fightback to win the first Test at Mohali, winning by just one-wicket on another fluctuating day's play Australia claimed four wickets in the opening session to reduce the hosts to 8-162 at lunch on the final day.
But VVS Laxman held India together and score 73 not out, to guide India home by the narrowest of margins.

Can anyone explain the point of picking Shannan Stewart? Why not pick Williamson? I know he failed dismally in Sri Lanka but at least he has a future if his present isn't quite there yet. Stewart isn't doing anything now and is even less unlikely to do anything in the future!

Go the indians! And I agree 100% bopman, as an ND fan I'd love to see BJ and Kano get a spell in the team, Stewart and too a lesser extent Elliott are useless. I'm not too worried about the loss, it was the first game in a while for most of our players, and that D-L method was awfully strange

Elliott's 37 batting average and 22 bowling average disagree.

Meanwhile, the India Australia 2nd match is on. Day three India are 256/2 chasing 478. Tendulkar is on 117, that man is amazing. Real pity that this is only a two test series. Clashes between these two sides are always great battles.

Maybe 9
Maybe 7 or 8 now.
Right now I'm more interested in the fact that my friend and I who are watching made a bet on how many overs it would take to win, he guessed 34 and I guessed 39. The result is pretty much a foregone conclusion but I'm probably going to win the bet at this rate.

So exactly 10 overs to spare for Bangladesh with 7 wickets in hand, a fully deserved win which means that this will be the first ODI series against a full-strength Full Member opposition that Bangladesh cannot lose.
Fucking disgraceful.
Three for me, and two for them.

Tendulkar is a freak.
pretty poor conversion rate from 200-300 though? or for that matter from 200 - 250/ hes got 6 double hundreds but never made it to 250. choker really....
I think that's what he said once, that his weakness was going from 250 to 300. I would not complain if a few of our boys had a similar issue... But they can't go from 25 to 30...
