Anyone surprised Akmal is involved after his keeping performance in Aus last series?

It's just not cricket.

Is there a single player you could safely say is deffinately unlikely to have any involvement? I wouldn't trust any of them tbh.

Fuck this stupid game

The Pakistanis are not the first or last to be tied up in this.

Stay tuned for more players to be outed.

I'm not normally a conspiracy theorist, but does this put the death of Bob Woolmer at the World Cup back into question? From memory, they never confirmed that it was 100% natural causes.

Remains unsolved.

I heard he was hours away from outing a betting syndicate operating inside his team.

cricket awards on tonight, SS1 9:15pm. Our Ricki is even presenting the Walter Hadlee award.

Oh yeah and our own Richard Hadlee wasn't even invited. How stupid is that

Yes, I saw the story craig stannaway did the other day. That Justin Vaughan is a real knob. Does he even have a clue? Hadlee should have been there. Utterly disgraceful.

why? Does he have to be invited every year? Does Martin Crowe have to be invited every year? How bout Glenn Turner? Steven Flemming?

That was the worst piece of journalism I have ever seen. Talk about something out of nothing. Good god!

It is his family's award, it would be fitting if he got to award it.

Don't even get me started on why he should be invited every year. It's a disgrace really.

Richard Hadlee is a cut above all of those players. He should always be invited as he is our greatest player of all time, and on of cricket's true legends.

Three for me, and two for them.

I also stand by my comments about Justin Vaughan.

What about Dayle, does he get a turn? He has had a huge level of involvement with NZ cricket. What about the families of all the other people after whom the awards are named. J.R. Reid, Redpath...

It is a beat up over absolutely nothing at all.

And don't get me wrong, I don't support Vaughn, He has presided over and (by his administration almost giving up on us playing test cricket) contributed to our current disgraceful standing in test cricket.

England international Luke Wright will play for Wellington in New Zealand's domestic Twenty20 cricket competition this summer.

https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/cricket/4190286/England-allrounder-Luke-Wright-signs-with-Wellington

very good pick up for Wellington, with the Ashes 20/20 and ODI series starting after our 20/20 comp, im sure some other english players might be interested in comming down early for a bit of cricket before that.

At least we're not getting Shaun Tait. Hate that prick. I'm not keen on getting Australians as isn't the Aussie T20 league run at the same time?

ours starts 2nd Dec, with the final on 2nd Jan, aussies starts 30th Dec, ending 5th Feb. So only an overlap if your team makes the final in NZ.

ND is after Herschelle Gibbs, would be a good addition for them, on field at least.

New Zealand are playing Bangladesh tomorrow at one-day cricket. I'm not up to par at all on cricket but want to watch, and I'd like to understand what's going on. Is it for part of some kind of greater competition, or are they just playing a few ODI's just because they can?

Anyone following the India v Australia series?

Australia 80/0 with a lead of 103 early on day 4. Could be an interesting day 5 chase this.

Watson scored a century in the first innings. Tendulkar fell 2 runs short of test century 49, I hope he gets to 50 centuries. He is one helluva player.

Watson out, thought he wouldn't be able to sustain run a ball stuff for much longer. Good knock of 56 though.

Australia stumbling a bit here. 96/3 now. Clarke and Ponting falling cheaply.

Tendulkar's conversion rate is incredible.  Go the indians, pity they collapsed yesterday

just because they can. Apart from the cricket world cup every four years, international cricket is mostly just series of games against another countries.

Australia in a spot of bother now. 142/4. Runs are drying up a bit, Hussey and North at the crease.

165/5 now. Really wishing this was on tv. India all over the Aussies. Ishant ran through the top order. Now Harbahjan is starting to do his thing.

7 down for 169. India fully on top now. Love this.
