NBL Final at the TSB Arena tomorrow, Auckland Pirates v Wellington Saints.
Haven't been to game for ages, but decided during the week to head in for it, was hoping for a Jets/Saints final, but the Jets got thrashed.
I missed last nights game, but cannot wait for tonight. I'm a bit scared of the Pirates, it will be tough.
You guys just wait till the Pistons get back in the league! Hopefully that'll be next year, will make for a stronger league. Cheering for Jason Crowe in the meantime however
I have a good story of Jason Crowe being a complete wanker to me. He is an arrogant prick, but that probably makes him a good player!
It ended with him calling me a "bitch ass punk"
Allegedly
Maybe you put him off his game, he wasn't that good tonight.
Nah this was the night before the preseason tournament. So can't take the blame for this loss!
Allegedly
Haha, I've had nothing but good experiences talking to Jason, but that story doesn't surprise me :).
In Tall Blacks news, Tom has joined Kirk on the disabled list, we really have no shot in hell at the Olympics now

I could be keen as well.
EDIT: Turns out I was looking at last years draw when I found those dates, sorry.
Yellow Fever - Misery loves company
I would be intrigued to see if the Phoenix have spoken to the Breakers at all about their success.

I was referring to more the travel etc.
Jackson is. Abercrombie has needed a break out game and still do not think he has had it. Pledger has 2 concrete left feet. I would not say they are the most talented but they hustle for each other. Even the 2nd import Hudson is a workman. Vukona and Corletto are hot and cold.
Still got to shut down Redhage when they meet Perth again and force him onto his left hand. Thats why Arsegio dropped in him in the first place (instead of teaching him) - no left hand

The away wins have been very impressive, but that is mostly down to recruitment, we have come a long way since the days of Awvee Storey and Orien Greene, Cedric isn't a NBA player but he's basically the best you could get, it's a lot harder to get imports of that calibre in the A-League, especially when your owners don't want to spend.
NBA Draft tomorrow, N-Bomb has done a good article about where he thinks Steve Adams should end up http://nzhoops.co.nz/?p=2056
OKC... now to see whether he's traded. And whether he is or not - where he goes in the short term. Breakers? lol
I reckon he'll stay at OKC, they may not officially need a centre but Adams will be one of their taller players, with his skill set and determination he should fit in well.
Queenslander 3x a year.
They wont be trading him. Perkins is getting old and slow and turned in a poor hand in the playoffs. Adams will get stashed in D League for a season to get minutes in a 'quasi-nba' environment. He would benefit from going to Pete Newells Big Man camp in Hawaii at the very least to get a grounding in footwork NBA styles.

i expect you'll be right, he'll still be young (20) when he hits the big league.

Fuck this Breakers side have zero inside presence. They live and die by the 3 point shot

Pledger? The guy plays with two left feet. They need to send him to Hawaii

Thank heavens I hate basketball.
If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid
