Personal trainers - one was showing a girl how to squat in the smith machine (
), then told her never to put her toes over her knees. When I pointed out that this was bad advice, he said "yeah, but you squat huge weight". Great logic there, buddy. Cosimo2009-07-01 10:29:37

When your at the chippie, and you ask for ONE spud fritter/scallop and you ALWAYS get either two or three... if they're so generous, just knock half the price off! If I want two or three, thats precisely what I'll order.

Having a heart bypass operation this Tues & effectively missing the first 3 months of the new A-League season after purchasing a season ticket!!
Especially when we might have an exciting strike team up front. However, I'm very optimistic about the outcome after hearing about other people who have had the same procedure.
I still plan to buy the new Nix shirt. All the best the Nix.

Blimmin' 'eck. Just saw your thread and we're about the same vintage.
Best wishes for the op. Hope you make it back for the part of the season where we are securing a play-off position.
Cheers

I took my kids to Te Papa yesterday. Happen to notice the book of condolence for Dr Bennington. I think some people have mistook it for a feedback/comments book for the museum. Some have written in big letters "SICK" "AWESOME" "GREAT PLACE". Maybe they didn't know what had happened or they were too lazy to check out what they were writing their comments in. Either way, it was insensitive. I was embarrassed for the family, friends, staff & museum.

4 minutes of adds, then an announcement that they "are advancing through this coverage due to time constraints after these next four minutes of adds".
Then they advance the coverage eight minutes... wtf ? Why not just show the coverage instead of interminable promotions and ESPN stings ? f**kers.

The fact that a YFer uses the username "shining path". What is he/she thinking?
For those that don't don't Shining Path (Sendero Luminoso) is widely condemned for its brutality including violence deployed against peasants and trade union organisers, popularly elected officials and the general civilian population, the Shining Path is regarded by Peru as a terrorist organisation.
