I wondered that too, still poor form for such a legend. Using sporting heros to make something so evil appear to be "nice" and "helpful" is a disgusting practice. Sadly people fool for it.

Ii would rather be catapaulted away from a half tonne quad bike than get stuck to it whilst rolling down a bank.

What are these people, on drugs???

I think things like seatbelts etc is a bit of overkill but do think that anyone who is in "control" of a quadbike or similar should have to undergo some form of training before they are allowed to put themselves into situations that may put their life at risk!

It's more than overkill, it's downright stupid. Putting seatbelts on quads won't make them safer it will actually increase the deathrate. In any case it's harder to roll a quad bike than it is to stay on it so if someone tries to corner at 50km/h it's hardly anyone elses fault is it.

And yes training should be required, a license even.timmymadden2011-01-14 17:36:03

you might find the dude had a breakdown was possibly in a high stressed job. went on holiday then on his last few days began thinking about having to go back to said stressful job and had a wee mental episode which resulted in him wandering off to Clive of all places

Sure wasting all those volunteers and rescue peoples time and resources was a arsehole thing to do don't get me wrong but there's more to this story than we've been told

mmmm
Maybe modern English usage may now allow "amount" for things that can be counted, but I would have thought "number" is still appropriate. Incorrect use of "less" (rather than "fewer") in similar circumstances is another one that really pisses me off - well not really, but that is the thread title.

And as for your observations?
English teacher - no, but am married to one! Ha.
And yes, own a business (of sorts). Intrigued.

National party.

John Key giving the nix' a message and wearing phoenix merchandise. (he doesn't deserve to wear a retro ricki!

John Key going to SA and going on the pitch celebrating with the all whites. Ruined everything for me.

Hyperactive children. (actually children in general)

Morons that go on the wellington phoenix facebook page and say "play a game in Chch!" "play a game in Auckland!"

When all my broadband is used up in a week.

When you chatting with someone and the conversation is going well and they say "haha." What the hell do I say to 'haha'?

Not understanding acronyms.

Have you also noticed the people that go on both the Phoenix and All Whites facebook pages saying "go all blacks" or "go kiwis" play a real sport like rugby. I wish they would F**K OFF!
