Three things,
1) The Nintendo 'Nationwide hands-on tour of the 3DS' doesn't go anywhere except Auckland FFS.
2) Firefox doesn't keep me logged into YF so everytime I come here I have to log in again.
3) People whinging about public holidays falling on the weekend. Well here's my question for you.. if my rostered days off are Sat, Sun, Mon then should I get the public holiday on Tuesday? Shall we just shift public holidays around willy nilly to suit everyone or just those who are lucky enough to get EVERY saturday and sunday off.

Just got call from some indian call centre bro trying to scam me into allowing remote access to my computer by posing as a microsoft technician.
I'm fairly computer savvy and realised pretty much immediately that there was no way anyone from msoft would call you but played along for a laugh. The funniest part was when he got me to navigate to the windows info file directory then asked me how many files were there. "Are there more than say, 10 files?" (but of course there are more than 10 files in win inf) so I told him there were 1200 and he goes: "Oh god... my god, your computer, it's in critical condition"
Then he tried to get me to open www.logmein123.com, yeah like that's not suspicious.
But the thing that pisses me off is, how the hell do these guys have my phone number?

They probably don't have your number, just access to the web, if you are listed in the white pages or any other phone book you can be found. That's the beauty of scams, they target everyone not just one person so the hit/miss ratio is low.

I had something similar a couple of weeks ago. I managed tos tall them for about 20 minutes, stifling laughter as I went. I figured that the longer they were talking to me, the longer it'd be before they tried to scam somebody else.
It was probably a futile effort, in hindsight, but it sure was entertaining.

Yeah I was disturbed to get 2 spam TEXTS a couple of weeks ago saying id won 400,000 pounds. Heard of people ringing home phones but spam texts is a disturbing thing. Don't know how they got my number.

But then today i got a text from civic video in courtenay place,and it was the same number as the spam text (+502 or something)
Does this mean Civic were responsible for the spam texts? Or does it just mean they use the same company to send their texts (I don't know how these things work)
